Bought Nikon Coolscan 8000 after having been assured by Buy Rite Digital that product had full manufacturer's US warranty. On arrival (4 days later than promised)factory sealed box had been opened and resealed, warranty & registration cards were missing. When I complained about this, I was offered a 3-year complimentary warranty, but they could not give me the Nikon US warranty.I was told to return the scanner and that they would send a new scanner incuding full warranty. Buy Rite never contacted me, except for the initial call; I always had to chase them up. I returned scanner, and was told that they did not have any scanners in stock with the manufacturer's warranty. I was re-imbursed for the full amount but am still waiting for the return shipping costs, which they promised to reimburse as well. Company sells grey market products, while their website states:" Shop at ease! All products sold include the full retail package and carry the USA manufacturers warranty.
