Hardware and Tools should be more diligent to ship things immediately where customers have paid extra to have expedited shipping. “Customer order was placed after 9 PM Eastern:
Rapid Ship Warehouse products are available in normal quantities for shipment within 1 to 3 business days from order. Our orders process 7 days a week. Orders placed for processing after 9 PM Eastern (6 PM Pacific) daily are considered as being placed on the following day.
Had the order been placed before 9 PM Eastern, it would have shipped the following day. Unfortunately with over 100,000 items all orders go through a pull and processing sequence. We hope in the future to be able to expedite last minute air orders. We can same day ship our Hot Buys as that warehouse is accessible directly within our packing center.
Our shopping cart pages specifically state "warehouse processing times" such as "Ships in 1 to 3 Business Days" are in addition to transit time. Second Day or Overnight Shipping do not reduce processing time.”
