Tozando Online

This shop has the widest selection of Martial Arts and Dojo supplies I have seen online. They carry everything from equipment and apparel to decorations. Need an iaido sword? There is a large selection - or customise your own. Want that perfect aikido gi or kyudo hakama? How about a jinbaori? It's all there! Additionally, the staff provide excellent customer service: even if they are unable to find what you need, they will put in whatever effort is necessary trying to get it for you. From off-the-shelf items to custom goods, Tozando is the place I would recommend.

I placed an order with this company for a product they had advertised on their website for $47.99; it was the best price I could find on the web...guess why:

Two days later, they e-mailed me to say that the product was out-of-stock and they "would notify me" when it was available. Going to their site, I found that the product had been removed entirely! Clearly, what Winfield-Flynn is doing is advertising goods for sale which they *DO NOT* have in stock, and baiting customers to place orders which they CANNOT fulfill. Stay Away!

I just tried to buy tires from Sears online. What a joke!

First, they do not have a simple 'Add To Cart' or 'Buy Now' button you can click - oh no: you have to TYPE IN YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER so someone can CALL YOU BACK to sell you tires. (Nice try, but I found a number to call *them* on so they don't resell my telephone number 1,000 times to their "business affiliates.")

Next, when I am speaking to an extremely curt and uninterested "sales associate," I am told that they _cannot_ ship tires either to my home or to my local Sears store: oh no, they can ONLY ship the tires to the nearest Sears store with an Automotive Center! (Which happens to be over 60 miles away from where I live.) "Why can't you ship them?" I asked, reasonably enough: "Your website *says* that items can be shipped directly to customers' homes." At this point, I was put on hold for ten minutes and then a supervisor comes on and tells me that this is the policy and there is nothing he can do to change it.

So, to recap: if you want a buying experience EXACTLY like one suffered by the population of the old Soviet Union, back in the day, then just try to buy tires from Sears online. They don't want your business; they don't care about your business; all they want is your money and they want it by selling you Tire Installation you neither want nor need, and by marketing your telephone number to other corporations - and they will physically restrict you from purchasing the items they advertise for sale if you don't agree to this. What a scam!

These jokers are *Un-American*; they should just be put out of business.

Japan-Zone is a great place from which to order hard-to-find items from Japan. In addition to carrying the FULL LINE of Rikio Jikatabi (if you don't have at least one pair of these, you *need some*!), they can order and supply you with just about anything from Japan. This includes items not listed in their online inventory; just send an e-mail asking for a quote.

To-date, I have purchased a set of Jikatabi, an Eboshi (a sort of hat), and a Kiseru (a Japanese pipe) from Japan-Zone. None of these items are easy to find online outside of Japan. Japan-Zone made it easy to get all of them, and have helped me in further enquiries as well. I will certainly do business with them again!

Additionally, there are links to the OTHER sections of Japan-Zone outwith the Store: sections on Japanese Culture, Society, Politics, etc. These provide further insight and information for all Nihonoholics.

If you are looking for that perfect Japanese item - some Inari statuary, for example, or a set of sakazuki, or some tatamis, or *whatever*, you should consider Japan-Zone first!

I ordered a silver ring on June 4th, 2008. The stated delivery time was "6-8 weeks." After countless e-mails and telephone calls to Canada to prod Louis, the proprietor, _a ring_ (not as pictured when I ordered) arrived - ON OCTOBER 21st, 2008! When I e-mailed to complain about the quality, I received back excuses from Louis about him having to "rush" the job (*16 WEEKS*!) due to a subcontractor having botched something up, etc. He said he would re-do it properly. I sent the original (heartbreakingly poorly done) ring back to him at my expense. Now it is March of 2009: he has my money; he has additional postage I included for the promised re-done Ring; he has the original shoddy ring; I have spent well over $100 in telephone calls to Canada, and there is no sign of the promised re-worked ring. My e-mails go unanswered. Do NOT do business here.

*EDIT* - July 21, 2009:

Today - *512 Days* after placing my order with Celtic Studio - a ring actually resembling what is advertised on their site finally arrived. It was accompanied by a letter referring to how "nasty" my comments here have been, and what a "jerk" I am for having posted them.

Do you want to do business here? Only you can be the judge of that. If you want my advice, based on my personal experience, I would have to say, "It's fine, if you don't mind waiting over a year and a month to finally receive what you ordered, accompanied by some self-serving prose and passive-aggressive abuse."

On October 20, 2008, I ordered a carton of chargers from this company through their amazon.com storefront. When the chargers hadn't arrived by October 29th, I contacted them asking for tracking information. I never heard back from them. Finally, I filed a claim through amazon.com (as soon as amazon *lets* you file a claim) on _November 16th_ - nearly a MONTH after I had placed my order and they charged my card. Buyer BEWARE of the incompetent crooks at whipcreamwholesale.com!

CanadaDrugs.com LOST MY PRESCRIPTIONS! I sent them via CanadaPost Registered Mail - with a Return Receipt. One of their CSR's _verified_ to me that they HAD RECEIVED THEM, and yet - nearly one week later - they called me demanding that I "send an original prescription" to them! When I confronted them with the fact of the Return Receipt, SIGNED FOR by one of their authorised agents and representatives, their "supervisor" mumbled some nonsense about it being a holiday and she'd "have to get back to me." Now, I'll have to schedule a NEW APPOINTMENT with my doctor to have the prescriptions re-written?!?!? DO NOT TRUST THESE INCOMPETENTS WITH YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS!

I was a bit wary ordering from this site, having read some of the previous reviews - so I called them, and told them so. It turns out that they are coming off a very bad period, and are trying as hard as possible to satisfy their customers and generate good word-of-mouth. I ordered on 1/31/08 - standard FedEx GROUND - and my order was delivered the following day, 2/1/08. As advertised. In perfect condition. Furthermore, they were the _ONLY_ retailer who even had the product I wanted (a BFG nVidia 7800 GS OC card); no other retailer/reseller from PriceWatch, PriceGrabber, Shopzilla, ShopMSN, or Google had it in stock _at all_. My conclusion after looking at their stock: they will frequently be the only source for some very hard to find parts, and they are genuine in their concern for their reputation among consumers. Try them - I did, and I am Very Satisfied.

I ordered several products from this company via the web on December 1st, 2006. They sent me an Order Confirmation on December 6th, stating that my order should be received within 10-14 days. Several of the items were to be Christmas Gifts. When December 20th rolled around, I e-mailed them indicating the order had not yet been received. On *January 2nd*, I received a reply asking me if I had received my order yet. In fact, I had - on December 23rd (22 days after placing the order): _minus_ one of the products I had ordered and been charged for! I e-mailed them back indicating that I wanted either a credit or a reshipment for the missing item. That was on January 5th. It is now *January 28th* and there has been no Shipment and no Credit. These guys are either totally incompetent, or they are crooked, or _both_. Beware!
