“I have ordered before from Django's with no problem. This time, though, of 3 CDs I ordered, two were incorrect - not what was pictured on their site and not what I ordered. The return process isn't that difficult, but because the two wrong items arrived separately, I had to make two trips to the post office to return them. I might or might not order from them again, but if I do, it won't be anytime soon. ”
“My first and maybe last order. I ordered a music CD, fulfilled through usermart.com. A CD arrived, and pretty soon, but it wasn't the one I'd ordered. Emailed usermart, emailed shop.com, got automated responses - no real followup by them. So, earlier today I called the credit card company and told them to not pay. I saved all the emails and that sort of thing. Fifteen dollars - I have to go through all this because of a 15-dollar CD that wasn't what was pictured on the web site. Thanks but no thanks, I will go with more reliable sellers in the future. ======== Update: I did evetually get a couple of real emails from both shop.com and usermart. I sent them all the documentation they asked for, but they claimed to not have received it. I never did get a refund or credit from them, but fortunately my credit card company found in my favor. UNfortunately, that did not include return shipping charges. My first and last order from these guys. ”
“First experience was extremely positive. I received my minidiscs the day after I ordered without having specified next day delivery. True, they are in CT and I am in MA, but still very fast - and price was right. I'll be ordering again.”
“I was a bit wary about ordering from this company, because they not only stated they would charge my credit card upon ordering, but also that the item, a CD/MD boombox, would be shipped from the manufacturer. However, the price was the best on the web and there was even a code for free shipping. I figured that if anything went awry, I would just let the credit card company deal with it.
I needn't have worried. The unit, a Casio, arrived reasonably soon, double-boxed, well-packed, and in perfect condition. $85 total for a unit tt will play MDs, CDs, and record digitally?
Works for me! Besides, this unit had been pretty well recommended by everyone who had something to say about it. There's not much else I can say about Everything Home; really, all I had to do was order, sit back, and wait for the item. I still don't like it that they charged my card immediately, but that worked out all right anyway. ”
“I have made quite a few purchases from Overstock - mainly but not exclusively by any means books. Up until my last order, no complaints. But the last one led me to an experience I could have done very well without.
My order consisted of 3 books and one CD. Simple, right? Not if you're Overstock, apparently. For one of the books, I received cassettes instead. A pain, but should be simple to fix, or so I thought. Two telephone calls to Overstock customer service resulted in a lot of promises and my having to re-order the book, although Overstock agreed with me that the link I clicked on to purchase the book was the problem.
I would get an RMA via email, I would get credited, and I would have to write a note explaining it all, they said. A week later, no RMA. No nothing. I just hope I receive a book this time and not tapes.
I know I could fuss with the credit card company and dispute the charge, but you know what? Twice recently I have had to do that and I am not up to another round of it at the moment. So, I will donate the tapes to an elderly or blind advocacy organization and take my small tax write-off for them. I'll feel good about that, it won't cost me a bundle, and with a little luck I might still get the book.
Would I order again? Yeah, most likely. Still, this wasn't a satisfactory experience. Their CS people were pleasant enough but, IMO, not competent enough to fix my problem.
