As an update to the below... I was approved to receive a replacement on my DVD burner and when I went to pick it up, I was extremely disappointed. The TDK burner I paid $219 for was replaced with a $40 Mad Dog burner. I told him I could understand cost difference if they gave me a similar quality burner. He told me the Mad Dog was alot better than the TDK.... Which I disagree with. I asked if there was something else he could do, and he said he could give me a $40 credit towards purchase of another brand burner. I showed him where it said on my receipt $100-$199 replacement TAP and he did not even acknowledge me with an answer except to say he was following policy. I had paid $25 for the TAP. In hindsight I would have saved my money for the TAP and sent the drive to the manufacturer for repair. I will not purchase anything other than maybe DVD or CD blanks there ever again. Goodbye Compusa!

I bought a 2 year TAP on a DVD Burner in February. The burner went out and I tried to take it back to the store for replacement. The clerk I bought the TAP from said if it ever broke, bring it back and we will replace it, or if the same model was not available, they could get me one similar or give me a gift card. Well, I took it back and they had to check it in to the system. They said it could take about 3-5 days before I could pickup my replacement drive. The guy next to me had the same trouble with a printer. His wife needed something to print the church bulletin on and they would not help at all. The guy told me they may replace it with a similar item more than likely. I didn't see any DVD burners even close in price to the $219 I paid for this one about 7 months ago. If they will act decent and replace it with a model close in price to this I will not have a problem. If not I will demand a refund. If not satisfied....
