Stock changes constantly during the busy holiday season and sometimes an item can go out of stock between the time that an order is placed and when we can put a backorder notice up on the product page.”

He helped me, but he could have been friendlier. He told me that FedEx would come by on Friday; I was home, so I waited all day on Friday (didn\u0027t want to leave the box outside unattended). FedEx did not come. I called Touch of Class back; Chris answered. He apologized and said my return authorization was still under management review. I asked to speak to a manager, and he transferred me to some woman\u0027s voicemail. I left a message and then followed-up with an email. On Saturday, I received an email from FedEx with the call tag pickup #. On Sunday, I received an email from Touch of Class, apologizing for the problem. FedEx picked-up the return on Tuesday. Within a week of it being delivered to Touch of Class, they refunded my order in full. As of 12\/9, my order still said \u0022processing\u0022. I called and canceled my order (I was on-hold for about 5 minutes). The price was good, but my order was not fulfilled.<br><br>On their website, I noticed that very few items are marked \u0022in stock\u0022. Most items do not have any \u0022stock\u0022 indicator. And some items show backordered. They have their own warehouse; and I suspect that those are the items that are in-stock. If the item is at a different warehouse or with a different company or manufacturer, then I think those items have no \u0022stock\u0022 indicator (and those items may have longer processing times). I used online chat, and received a quick and courteous response.<br><br>A week after placing my order, I called them to change the video card. They accommodated my change easily.<br><br>I received my custom PC 10 days from order date, and that was just fine for me (especially since I made a last minute change). I was not in a rush. All the components that I ordered were installed (no substitutions). The shipping box was well packaged\/padded, and they included the CPU box plus extra cables and manuals.<br><br>I had ordered my PC without an operating system, because I wanted to install Windows XP Home SP3 myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to install XP (got blue screen of death during the beginning of the install). I called CPU solutions and was helped by a builder named Kip. We checked various settings in the BIOS, and he finally walked me through downloading and updating the BIOS. After that, XP installed just fine.<br><br>The Intel DX79TO motherboard was shipped with the original BIOS version 0281. There were several BIOS updates since then. I would recommend that CPU Solutions load the current BIOS on the motherboard as a service to their customers. Also, I understand that XP does not support AHCI; and in my order notes, I requested that they change the BIOS to IDE for me; but it was shipped with setting AHCI...not a big deal, since it is easy to change.<br><br>Another recommendation is to have a power supply estimator as part of their website. After selecting various components, I would like to make sure that I have selected the correct size power supply.<br><br>Another benefit to their website is that you can submit your quote for review (so they can check for problems with your quote...like an under sized power supply, if applicable). I used this feature as well.<br><br>I am happy with my purchase, and I plan to purchase another PC or two from them in the near future. Compared to other custom build websites that I\u0027ve seen, CPU Solutions offers the most choices, the most detailed information\/descriptions, and the best prices.<br><br>God is a refuge for us.<br><br>UPDATE<br>After my good experience with CPU Solutions in March 2012, I ordered another custom PC for a family member in April 2012, and one more custom PC in August 2012. Each experience was just as good as the first. They offer volume discounts for as little as 2 or more items, and no minimum quantities. They offer different shapes and sizes, and you can use one of their pre-made stickers or customize your own (even upload your own sticker from a graphic file). Shipping can take up to 10 days from the time you place your order, so just be patient (you\u0027re buying a custom product, not something made in China). Everything is working fine, and the sign-up process was easy. Customer Service is very responsive: I have not tried calling them; instead, I have used chat and email. If there is a long wait with chat, then I just email them, and they respond within a day.<br> <br>I have my own unlocked Nokia 2330c-2b phone. It's a GSM phone, and it works just fine with PTel's service.<br> <br>The only reasons I've had to contact customer service are: #1 to learn about Real PayGo prior to switching to PTel, and #2 to disable (or place blocks) on data and text (I don't use either feature with my phone...just voice).<br> <br>They have their regular website (https:\/\/www.platinumtel.com or https:\/\/www.ptel.com), and they also have a support website (https:\/\/ptel.zendesk.com). If you email them, then they create a ticket that gets logged on their support website (all your tickets get logged there, and you can review progress and respond---or you can just respond via email). There are also forums, announcements, tips\/tricks, and feature requests sections on their support site (you can subscribe to them, and contribute to them).<br> <br>If you want to save a little money on the SIM card, then check-out eBay by searching for "ptel sim".
