Update - I was contacted by David V from Abe's of Maine and we had a very good conversation about my experience. There was some misunderstanding on my part and I am thankful we got things cleared up. I would be happy to do business with Abe's of Maine again in the future.

I was very happy with the price on the Canon FS200 camcorder I ordered but I was a bit surprised that it took from Friday noon (order date) until Tuesday morning for it to actually ship (UPS had the shipping information Monday evening, but not the package).

I was VERY disappointed that before it shipped I had both a phone call and an e-mail from "Peter" asking me to call him to answer a couple of questions. The questions were about why I didn't purchase an extended warranty. That leads me to be very wary of purchasing from them again.

I ordered an item from Toys 'R' Us on January 11th because it was the item I wanted at a good price. I had never ordered from Toys 'R' Us online prior to this. Three days later (January 14th) I received a phone call from credit card protection stating that there was two charges to Toys 'R' Us(totaling almost $700) on my card that looked fraudulent. They were. After canceling that card I immediately called Toys 'R' Us customer service to find out if they had record of the charges. They didn't, but hadn't shipped the other order yet either. Since I no longer trust their store, I cancelled that order as well. That afternoon my original order charges went through on the card and the item shipped.

I would strongly recommend not using Toys 'R' Us online services as I believe they have some serious security problems and can't cancel an order when directed to do so.

I purchased a netbook battery from Mundo Corp after being directed there by Gateway. I got what I thought was a great price and they shipped the product quickly. After less than two months the battery failed (wouldn't accept a charge) and I requested a return. I followed their instructions exactly. Within 2 hours of my battery being delivered to them (checked my tracking number) they claim to have fully tested the battery and found it to be in full working order. They refunded only about half of the purchase price. I responded to their e-mail disagreeing with their assessment and they have not responded after almost 3 weeks.

I purchased a replacement battery from Amazon.com that works great so I know the problem was not my netbook. I don't believe they actually tested the battery. Customer service is abyssmal at best. Can't recommend any order from them. If this is the kind of company Gateway sends their customers to, I won't be ordering from Gateway either.
