4/5

I ordered a MacMini from MacMall on June 5, 2012. The website had a big heading advertising that you would receive a $100.00 Restaurant.com gift card if you ordered your system over the telephone. I called and ordered the mini as well as Parallels. My contact's name is Joseph.
The computer and Parallels arrived in a timely fashion and good condition. However the $100.00 restaurant.com gift card did not arrive with the computer.
I called Joseph and he was surprised the card did not arrive with the computer as he had told me it would when I ordered.
Since then I have called Joseph (extension 38085) five times regarding the gift card. Each time he expresses surprise and puts me on hold while he speaks with his "very busy" manager.
He then assures me the card will arrive shortly. It should arrive within 3 to 5 days.
Today was the final straw. I called. He was surprised. He would find out what's going on and call me right back.
Big surprise. He did not call back and when I called him his message said he was "away from his desk" (gone home??)
Bottom line. Don't trust the sales reps on the phone nor the promises on the MacMall website. (The gift card is still advertised there)
edit:...after online chatting yesterday with "Andy" I received the $100. Restaurant.com gift card by FedEx express first thing this morning. Thanks Andy.
My faith is restored in MacMall
