** 2/2/2012 Update ** A representative from Tristate (Steve) called me and apologized for the issues I'm having. My refund was processed immediately and he even looked around for the item that was in back order.

Terrible experience with Tristate Camera. They are literally the worst online retailer I've worked with in the last few years.

1. Bought a 50mm 1.8G lens that was shown as available. They were the only retailer that had them, hence the reason I chose them in the first place.

2. 3 days later, no delivery confirmation. Received an email from 'Peter Ryan' asking me to call to 'confirm' the purchase. What the heck? What is it to confirm?

3. After responding with email I was told that the lens will ship 'on monday' (3 days after that.) I asked if they didn't have the lens in stock and whether that was the reason for the delay. They never responded to my out-of-stock question.

4. 12 days later, no lens. No update. No emails. I emailed peter and then the main support email address asking where the heck is my lens.

5. No response. 2 days later I finally called and ask what the status is, and was told the lens was on backorder and has been for a long time. What the heck???? Why wasn't I told about this? I asked for a refund.

6. 5 days later. Still no refund. I called again and ask what the status of the refund is. Was put on hold for a long, long time. Finally was told that the refund request was in the 'wrong folder' and that they will have to start the request again.

Either this company is run by a bunch of incompetents or they are screwing me over.
