I placed an order with them for two items. The first item arrived about a week laer (shipping time + 1 day). The second item was a no-show, and there was no communication about what the issue was, or when it would arrive. I waited several weeks, then called. Miraculously, the item shipped the next day.

To me, this looks like they were out of stock at the time (it happens, but a notice would have been nice), then forgot about the rest of the order. This is a good way to lose customers, and I won't be buying from them again.

Vendor refused to sell me product for personal use. Vendor said that a personal use license would cost an additional $35. This is insane.

I got the exact same product, from another vendor, without any issue whatsoever.

“For most licensed products, the manufacturer requires the licenses to be registered in the company's name. Without that information, they will not process the license. We do carry many of the license products in a retail version for personal use. Our Sales Team is always available by phone or Live Chat to help get the right product for you.”

The prices were OK, but their RMA process is among the worst I've ever encountered. I received a controller card from them that failed within 2 weeks. They refused to accept it back.

They "lost" the payment for five days, and only "found" it when I called and asked about it. Then, they lied to me saying that it had only "come in that day". I don't deal with companies that lie to me.

The difference between a good company and a bad company is how they handle exceptions. In this instance, they handled it VERY poorly.

I've ordered parts from this company a few times previously, and never had a problem. Of course, it's how well a company handles problems that tells you just how good they are. Well, in this order there WAS a problem.

One of the parts was missing a component. I called them and asked about it. I was told that the component I thought I was missing should have been in the box. Since it wasn't, they'd have to get it from the manufacturer, and they didn't know when it would arrive. The tone & attitude of the person I was talking to sounded like they didn't really care when, or if, it ever got to me.

So, here we are, three months later, and I still don't have the missing component. It's time to contact my bank and initiate a chargeback. Perhaps that will get their attention.

I purchased a set of McGaughy's steering knuckles from this company. The order process was relatively simple. The parts arrived quickly and were well packed. When the parts were inspected, they were found to be flawed (raw casting in a seal area - would QUICKLY destroy the seals); the result of poor quality control after the parts were machined (not a fault of the vendor). I called the vendor, and was informed that what I saw couldn't be correct. I was redirected to the manufacturer, where the receptionist said the same thing, and refused to connect me to the technical support people.

I called the vendor back, and informed them that I needed to return the parts. After being repeatedly placed on long holds (call usually dropped by my mobile phone), I was told that UPS would pick the parts up, and that the full amount of purchase (including shipping) would be refunded.

The reality was that after over a week, I returned the parts, paying for shipping, AND the refund didn't include the original shipping.

These people are fine when everything goes right, but when there's a problem, they will lie and ignore the customer, in an attempt to get them to accept the bad/wrong part. I can't, in good conscience, advise ANYONE to purchase a product from this vendor.

Disks advertised as having a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. Manufacturer's web site says they have NO warranty. Seller refuses to provide return shipping for this bait-and-switch product.

The drives were shipped to me in a box with "popcorn". There was no foam or bubble-wrap to protect the drives. This is worst packing I've ever seen for disk drives. Even if the disks had been what I ordered, I'd have returned them as improperly packaged.

22-FEB-2007 - BBB Complaint 263582 filed.

28-FEB-2007 - Response received from Etech4sale. They suggested that I go through the RMA process again, just the way I did in the first place. They've got a SERIOUS problem in their handling of RMAs. They need to FIX it. Waiting for a REAL response.

16-MAR-2007 - Received a request to call them. I see this as a thinly veiled request to go through the RMA process again, which is something that I have ABSOLUTELY no intention of doing. Still waiting for a real response. It's been two months since I asked them to mail me the shipping label, and they still don't seem to be able to do it.

NOTE: It appears that Etech4sale has ONE tool for RMAs, and it's broken. I bet this does wonders for decreasing RMA costs and increasing profits. If the incorrect/bad/broken item doesn't get returned because they can't properly process the RMA, it's PROFIT, and there is no RMA cost.

Wrong part shipped - invoice and shipping list had correct part. After I described what the correct part looks like, they said that it would ship the next day via FedEx 2nd day. Shipment was actually 2 days later via 3rd-day.

Refund on wrong part required another week.
