Purchased a JVC GR-HD1 from Beach Camera. Looked them up here. Looked at prices (they were not the lowest but darn close but their rating was excellent).
Called and placed the order. Had a really nice salesperson on the other line who explained what I was getting and that they had it in stock.
I also ordered another battery from them.
Total price of the order $2,168. I charged it and on the 1st of December (no delivery charges) received the camera and battery in excellent condition as promised.

I have only purchased three items from the company and can recommend them to each and every one reading this comment.

The answer the phone, they answer e-mail, they are punctual, their prices are right, and lots of etc.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

Could not deliver overnight but no intention or indication to me by phone or e-mail that they could not deliver. Had to call twice to first verify they were shipping and told yes it was in stock and would be shipped over night FedEx and then the next day to verify that in fact the order was cancelled because they did not ship. A simple e-mail or phone call would have been so helpful. I don't think I will ever attempt to deal with them again.

And on 8/10 I discovered they charged my credit card account even though they had ample time to not do that. A scam place. WATCH OUT!

8/14 after sending e-mails with absolutely no response at all, I sat and waited until I got through to them. They did not even acknowledge my e-mails but the first person said, "you mean you cancelled and we charged you. You must have cancelled after we shipped." I say, "Shipped? cancelled. You charged me. I want my money back." He says, "Let me transfer you to the person in charge of refunds." Anyway, supposedly she will send refund this afternoon, Wed., 8/14.

Money was refunded on Thursday, 8/15/02. Thank you.
