They called and said that they will install a new hard drive, but it will cost me $150 to restore the operating system, or $75 to restore the OS with the original factory CD which I will have to send to them. They claimed that the warranty excluded softwares, and the operating system is a software, and they will not reinstall that without a fee. To me, the OS is part of the computer, just like the BIOS. To not reinstall drivers, OS or BIOS is like repairing the car but not the engine.
