“What a joke!!! Don't let all the sponsorships for Extreme Home Makeover, TLC home improvements programs, and all the other television shows fool you. We really thought we could trust the quality and workmanship of the products and service sold through Select Blinds but boy were we wrong. We had multiple problems and issues with the blinds and shades we ordered. First of all, it takes forever to pick, choose, and order your blinds. But beyond that, it takes even longer for you to get your order in. I understand that they custom make each order but you would think the amount of time they take for each order that you would be getting some extremely high quality craftmanship but when you get the blinds, you see how cheap and "Made in China" they look. When the first batch of shades came in, we noticed there were spots of yellow dye on the shades so we called and complained. They asked for pictures so we sent them in. We heard back almost a week later that they were going to approve a reorder. We got our second batch of shades and in that order we had a large motorized shade for our master bedroom. After spending hours getting it installed we finally put new batteries in and tried the motor but it wouldn't retract all the way up. We tried numerous times but same results. By the time it got halfway, it would just stop. So we called the customer service area a 2nd time and they said to send a video of it and we did. They responded almost a week later by saying that there was nothing they could do. They said let it go half way, then wait between 5 to 10 minutes and then push the retract button again so that it goes all the way up. Really? That's your solution to my problem? Really great customer service there. We finally received our last batch and sure enough there were issues with one of the roller shades. They came in a half inch too long and as a result, they wouldn't go into our shade. We complained and we still haven't heard back. We spent around $2000 on all the window treatments we had with this company and what a waste of money in the end. We wish we would've just spent the extra $1000 to $2000 to call a professional company to make and install all the blinds. Don't make the same mistake we did!”
