I purchased my ForceRecon7 Desktop gaming machine from Vigor Gaming on December 9th, 2009. I have had my gaming desktop for over a month now. In summary, I am very satisfied with my computer, but I have mixed reviews about their service.
About the waiting time between placing the order and actually receiving my PC, if you are very patient or have no urgency to receive your PC quickly, then you should have no problems with Vigor Gaming. Like I said, I purchased my computer back on December 9th, 2009, but it was shipped on January 11, 2010, more than a month after the order was placed online, so I actually received my PC a few days later. Most of the delay arose because they simply did not have my video card in stock at the time and they were waiting delivery from the manufacturer. The video card I purchased was an nVidia GeForce GTX 295 1792MB.
About their technical and customer service, if you speak with their systems engineer named Chuck, he is extremely helpful, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable for any and all configurations. I communicated with him many times over email and phone, and his service was remarkable. If you do customize your rig online and if you are fortunate enough to speak with him, he will definitely help you through the entire configuration process and he will have no issues answering and all questions you will have. However, in regard to the service provided by others, when my computer was delayed, I never actually received any phone call from anyone about why it was getting delayed. I had to call back and inquire on my own. But once I did call and since I did not speak with Chuck that time I called, I spoke with another technical representative, and he was courteous as well. He called me back later the same week to inform me that my video card had arrived and they would ship out my computer on the week after.
As for the quality of the computer, it is simply outstanding. The entire box was packaged inside of a bigger cardboard box for extra protection. And the computer was guarded by styro-foam inside the inner box, so my PC had very little chance of getting damaged during shipment. Everything inside was very neatly packaged and arranged, including the manuals, cables, and discs. When I inspected the internals of my gaming desktop, it was flawless. No wiring was dangling anywhere, everything was properly tied in place, and it looked as though a lot of care and attention went into building my PC. Furthermore, I had no issues whatsoever when I turned on my PC. It is impressively quiet as it is equipped with a Vigor ArgonauticaTM Pro CPU Liquid-Cooling System and a massive fan at the top of the PC. I have already played Crysis Warhead on this machine at the highest graphics settings, and it is still noticeably quiet. It boots up in under a minute, and it performs flawlessly when multi-tasking between several programs.
In summary, if someone asked me if I would recommend Vigor Gaming system in the future, if you are willing to be patient as the assembly time may take a long time, your wait will be well worth it because you will get a very impressive machine for the price. I was fortunate enough to benefit from their holiday discounts at the time, thanks to Chuck, so I received my fabulous PC at a total price of $3315 when it normally would have cost me close to $4000. My only wishes to Vigor Gaming are that they can improve their assembly time and they can call customers to follow up after the customer has placed the order. But I praise Vigor Gaming for their high quality of assembly. Keep up the good work.
