3/5

On March 15th i purchase a HP 42" HD-ready Plasma
T.V., the set was delivered on the 18th, only to
be defective, something that's very frequent with
BrandsMart U.S.A. merchandise.
The so-called "good" prices lurn you in, but their
{hidden} policies will make you run! little did
i know was they have a zero money back policy
after 5-days.
After trying to deal with the incompetetive liars
at Hewlett-Packard {the manufacturer} i've decided
to go back to the showroom and discuss my problem
and what kind of solution they had., That was on
the 25th, on that same day after waiting for
2-hours i was told by "Wilfredo", which is the
senior TV specialist that i couldn't get my money
back because BrandsMart U.S.A. policies for LCDs
and Plasmas is only 5-days. Something Joandy Guzman,
the saleman didn't told me, even after asking him
several times what was their return/exchange
policies what i got where vague responses.
These "fair polices" are a nightmare just like
their commisioned employees which will rather
step all over you than help you. I'd found out
their merchadise IS NOT grade "A" stock but "B"
and sometimes "C" grade which allows them to sell
them for less than Best Buy or Circuit City and
at the same time these items have a greater chance
of been defective or get defective within the
first 30-days. They all know this that's why
everytime you purchase something electric
they'll offer you the "extended" warranty.
My T.V. was exchange, when they said the
18th will be delivered, that day was delivered.,
When they schedule to pick up the defective unit
they call me 3-days in advance, and again, they
kept their word. So far nothing has gone bad, but
maybe is because we don't use the TV that much...
My advise is:
If you don't mind the attitude of the employees,
or their return policies, then Brandsmart U.S.A.
If right for you.
Be warned that if you return something you will
likely be charge a restocking fee, and you're
subject to insults and insinuations of theft
from the idiots at the return department. They
will open ALL electrical/electronics items
to make sure you haven't steal any internal part.
If they don't want to issue a store credit or
credit your credit card, they will force you
with rude vocabulary to accept a repair.
Another important point., when you pay with
credit card and/or your purchase is over $500.00
the cashiers will photocopy your ID and credit
card, and call their cashier supervisor to ensure
you're being humiliated, that's
their "humble" way to say "You could be a thief
(like us) so we don't trust you, but give us
your money at once!"
