I found this to be an excellent company... great service, great communication - offering the best prices on Sigma lenses. My recent purchcase of the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX, was a pleasure and went without a hitch. Kudos to Molly.

Purchased 1GB Sandisk flashmemory card at a bargain price. Transaction went flawlessly and without a hitch. Item arrived promptly and in excellent condition, as described.

UPDATE 1... After my original satisfaction, it turns out that the rebate that was offered for the Sandisk Flash Memory card I purchased, which had been CLEARLY marked and LINKED under the item listing, was wrongly advertised. This rendered the item ineligible for the rebate, which was the only incentive for my original purchase... I have contacted Comp-U-Plus, but have as yet not received a response.

UPDATE 2... Within 24 hours, Comp-U-Plus admitted their error and apologized for the mistake, and to their credit, Sandisk immediately decided to honor the rebate anyway, evening out the score. :-)

Sometimes you can tell more about a company by how they deal with problems. Ultimately, my experience with Comp-U-Plus was a good one, and I am quite satisfied.

I have used B&H *several* times in the course of the last few weeks, receiving immediate and superb service. Their prices seem to be lower than comparable vendors in most instances, and from my experience their website has been absolutely accurate and trouble free. I expect I'll be purchasing most of my photographic equipment from them in the forseeable future. They seem to have a vast inventory at their disposal, icluding well-referenced used items.
Update: merchandise arrived promptly and in excellent condition.

This company has fairly good references, but I also had a similar experience as some recent posters. After carefully ascertaining via telephone, that desired items were in stock, I immediately placed my online order. Soon after, I received two separate email messages: one referencing my original order stating that items were NOT in stock, and advising me of a 2-3 week delay...(not too unsusal), BUT... I also received a second message, referencing a newly created order with an entrirely different number, indicating that the order was being held pending aditional information, (including a phone number OTHER than a cell phone), none of which is applicable to me, nor makes sense. All this left me feeling, as others here have mentioned here, that the orders are being internally re-placed, perhaps to collect a commission. Whatever the reason, something was odd... especially after reading the post by danimal777 and cmoss below. Needless to say, I cancelled my order.

Since this site served me well during my own search, hopefully it will serve others equally. I placed my order for a Nikon D70 with PC Connection, on Sunday night 04/25/04 at 11:45PM. Transaction went flawlessly. The merchant called me Monday morning to confirm my ID and purchase authorization. Package was shipped that afternoon, and Airborne placed it safely in my hands at 10:30AM Tuesday morning. Simply excellent!
