GoogleGear has great prices, and they're very efficient with shipping quality products.
However, when it comes to returning items, these guys are shrewed sharks. I purchased 2 memory sticks from them, and found that I had to return them. I tried to exchange them for new sticks, but they wouldn't let me, and said that I would have to send them back, and reorder the new parts I needed. I paid $222 for the memory, and after I returned the sticks (I also paid almost $20 to FedEx the memory back,) I was eventually (about 10 days later) refunded $188.
Today, I finally called them back (been on business all over the country) and asked what the problem was, and why I wasn't refunded the full amount. Apparently, there's a 15% re-stocking fee that I wasn't aware of. It's hidden in the Terms of Agreement somewhere in the fine print. Never did anyone on the phone tell me that I would pay a 15% restocking fee, even though I spoke with several people about the return.
I don't understand why it costs $33 to re-stock a couple of chips.
Basically, I handed over $20 to FedEx, and $33 to GoogleGear and didn't get a damn thing. I blew fifty bucks on wasted time.
I will never buy from these guys again--they do nothing to satisfy the customer, nor are they clear on their policies over the phone (they expect that their website can cover all of their legalities...) They don't realize that people SKIP through Terms of Agreement policies most of the time (jee--I used to think they were all about the same...)
Anyhow, I'll never recommend GoogleGear to anyone, just because of the risk involved with returning a product.
