3/5

Midwest Hunter's Outlet (MHO) had the lowest price on the Fox Labs 22FTM pepper spray (MHO item# 407807), which I ordered on 12/24/2011.
I knew in advance to expect MHO's 7-10 business day delay before shipping, and was okay with it. I figured that this small popular product would quickly ship, but I was wrong, and it took 28 business days before shipment.
I messaged TGSCOM several times, and they always wrote back promptly and courteously, but provided little guidance regarding when my order might be filled, other than to say that the pepper spray was on back-order. (This was puzzling because the manufacturer assured me that this popular item was never on back-order, and that as far as they knew, all of their distributors had been well stocked with it since the holidays.)
Through the process I did learn that the TGSCOM family of companies does not stock any inventory. Instead, they place orders with their suppliers only after you place your order, and they then have the product shipped to them, before shipping it to you, causing the 7-10 business day delay.
Not paying for a warehouse allows TGSCOM to provide the low prices, which I like. Sadly, it adds almost complete uncertainty to the "In Stock" flags shown on their websites. Those flags only represents whether their supplier's have any inventory, which could change by the time TGSCOM places their order for you. I also don't know how real-time the flags might be.
I'm very happy with the product I did receive. It reached me two days after being shipped, and it was genuine Fox Labs pepper spray with a very recent manufacture date.
I would order from MHO again, but I would not expect to receive the order within six weeks, and I would not trust their web-site's "In Stock" flags.
