first thing was when i went through all the motions and hit "confirm order", it said to try again or call by phone. which i thought was on purpose for the "hard sell" everyone is talking about. they were not open yet, so i waited an hour, tried to explain what happened and i did not want to end up with 2 cameras. (pan.ZS7red) they said the computer would take another hour to update. so i waited to confirm my original order, he said he didnt see it. i could try again with an operator but declined because i was getting a bad taste in my mouth and didnt want to give my C.CARD out to a live operator. so i tried online again, it worked. i think it was later that day i got the call from abe's to confirm my order. he DID try and sell me another battery and sdcard. it didnt matter what i said and what i knew from doing months of research on my camera, he knew more and was pushing and pushing. telling me flat out lies and mis-information. i was starting to get mad but i just had a VERY bad experience from somewhere else so i put up with him hoping i would finally get the camera. i stuck to my guns and insisted what i had ordered was all there was going to be. i DID get a good price, and i DID get the correct item, and it DID come quickly.... which i guess is what really counts. but the fact that they harass you (or even call at all) on the phone, and flat out lie to you trying to sell more stuff that is wrong for you just make more sales is unethical and sleazy. i guess i would recommend, just know it will involve a sales pitch. DO NOT order anything extra on the phone no matter how good of a "DEAL" it is. it wont be. UPDATE 8/9/10... i was contacted by the V.P., we was nice and concerned about my treatment. after rethinking everything, i do have to stand behind my original post, but i do feel better after the call, and i would try them again. i got what i ordered fast and cheap which is what really matters. you are supposed to UNcheck a box during your "check-out" to NOT be contacted. i WILL buy from them again, when i do, i will erase all or part of this review to create a more simple and balanced review of my total experience with Abe's.

STAY AWAY.... i too had the same experience. order, never came, called back, they said the order was canceled, "didn't you get the email?" NO! they can't ship or refund, call the credit card company to start a claim. when i called first time he was rude, short, and hung up as i was talking. I DID GET MY MONEY BACK THOUGH!!! (from the credit card co.) i really wasn't expecting it after reading this site. hopefully YOU are reading this BEFORE you buy, and don't. this has been a nightmare, and i had to close this card/number as i don't trust these thieves. and i have now missed several opportunities to use the camera because of these people. make sure you research ANY company before you buy, and try buying local first if possible. the absolute lowest price is not always worth it. these people should go to prison until these bastards burn in hell for knowingly doing this to so many people.
