After reading some negative reviews here on ResellerRatings.com, I was a bit hesitant to order from this merchant. ...Specifically, I read some negative comments about their shipping policy. After reading all the fine print available on their web-site, I was even *MORE* skeptical.
If for some reason your shipping costs couldn't be calculated at the time of check-out, you had an hour to contact them to find out what the costs *WOULD* be. After this [relatively narrow] time window, they'd assume you were OK with whatever the charges were and process the order.
I wrote to their customer service and asked if when a shipping charge appeared clearly on their shopping cart pages, there would ever be a case where this "Oh - sorry, we couldn't calculate your shipping" issue would arise. I received a prompt reply [

Upon learning that my Epson 777 printer would refuse printing *ANY* document (...even simple text) when its color cartridge was out of ink, I was in rather sudden (and dire) need of a replacement cartridge.

I hopped onto Pricewatch and found Catalog800 had a great price on the ink cartridge I needed. They didn't have much history here on ResellerRatings, but a couple of comments made reference to speedy shipping, so I decided to take a chance and order from them.

By the time I made this decision it was already around 4:30 PM EST. Worried they might close at 5:00 and not "process" my order until Friday - at which point, next day delivery still wouldn't arrive until Monday - I decided to skip the hefty overnight fee.

Within *15 MINUTES* of placing my order, it had already shipped. My package arrived by *SATURDAY*. Needless to say, this exceeded my expectations.

I was *VERY* pleased with this purchase and would go out of my way to suggest this merchant to others looking to buy Ink Cartidges.

I was a bit skeptical about this reseller due to their sketchy "Email Me A Better Price" cost hiding scheme, but I decided to go head and give them a try. The merchandise came with no problems or billing issues and works great. I have no complaints with my experience with this reseller.

I ordered a Tyan S2665UANF Dual Xeon Motherboard and requested it be shipped to my place of employment. Several days later, I checked on their web site to see the status of my order. It turns out it had been delayed because they couldn't verify the shipping address with the credit card company.

At this point, I was rather annoyed because they gave me no indication that there was any problem with the order. (I only discovered the issue when *I* went and checked the order status.) Furthermore, I believed that my work address *WAS* on file with my credit card company as an acceptable shipping address.

I contacted my credit card company and discovered that I did *NOT* have my work address on file with them. (D'oh!) While I was on the phone with them, I had it added.

I then sent off an e-mail to the Monarch to explain my mistake and to ask them to resume the processing of the order.

Monarch then shipped off my order and generously upped the shipping method to an expedited mode of delivery despite the fact that they had done *NOTHING WRONG*. (...Nor had I even asked that they rush the order to me.) I was *completely* at fault, but they nevertheless ate the cost to upgrade the shipping of my new hardware.

I was a tad annoyed they didn't contact me when there was a problem processing my order, but they easily redeemed themselves with their choice of actions once I'd fixed the problem on my end. Their choice of actions merits some customer loyalty... I'll definitely consider them any time I'm looking to buy computer hardware in the future.
