My brother bought me a gift certificate from Newegg for Christmas. Not really having anything to purchase, I put off using it. Today, when I went to look for the gift certificate information, I couldn't find it in any of my e-mail records. So I used their online customer support chat thing. I was helped by someone named Salina. They were extremely persistent in helping me get my gift certificate re-emailed to me, trying a multitude of different queries. Despite the fact that it took a half an hour for us to deduce the fact that my scrub of a brother had his wife buy my gift card, we figured it out and Salina had my gift certificate information resent to my e-mail address.
With the way I had to present my information for Salina, I bet most other customer support would have crumbled. I wasn't quite sure what zip code my brother would have used, since he's moved a couple times, so I gave her all the ones I knew. No problem. Salina was also content to search multiple phone numbers, and eventually even multiple people in an effort to find my gift card.
