This was a RMA order. I have been a customer of Newegg for about 2 years now and this was the very first time I had to request an RMA. I purchased 2 Corsair 512MB SODIMM PC2100 memory modules for my daughter's laptop, to upgrad the memory. I put them in and nothing happened. I put one in and the laptop started up fine and regconized the new memory. I tried the second one alone and nothing. I then realized, that particular memory module was defective. I got my RMA online and mailed off the memory module, Sat. May 30, 2009 by USPS Priority Mail. I just got my replacement today, June 4, 2009 in my mailbox. WOW that is really fast, in my opinion!!! I definitely will order from Newegg, as often as possible. Sometimes, Newegg simply does not have what I need, but, I do look there first. I know that when I order from Newegg, I will get a GREAT price, good products and be treated fairly. What more can one say about an excellent company?! Newegg is awesome!!!

I am so glad that I found this site. I simply Googled parts for a Dell Latitude Laptop and this site was one of the first on the list.

My son-in-law got an older Dell Latitude C840 laptop, without the hard drive. I got a new hard drive for it, tried to install it and the BIOS wouldn't recognize it. I kept looking at the part that holds the hard drive and thought, something is missing. What it was, I honestly didn't know. Dell support gives you lots of information, but not all.

In looking over the parts for my Dell Latitude C840, I found a hard drive caddy, adapter and screws. As soon as I saw the pieces, I knew what my problem was. I was missing the adapter and screws!!! Needless to say, I ordered it immediately, May 19th. I got it May 22nd!!! Not bad, not bad at all. I installed the hard drive and it works!!! The BIOS recognizes the hard drive.

I am a very happy camper and will do business with them, in the future, should the need arise. I only have one Dell Latitude C840 laptop to service, but, should anything go wrong with it, I now have a place to go to, to get replacement parts.

I have ordered from 3B Tech several times and have always been pleased with my orders. I was especially surprised with this last order. It was 2 Memory Modules DDR PC2100 512MB. Not only were the modules from the same manufacturer, they were Kingston Value Ram, at $14.99 each!!!

I find the prices to be low, overall. As for finding components for older motherboards, this is the place that I always check out first! The fact that every item they sell includes FREE shipping, is awesome, in my book. I have found an item that I needed at other web sites, with the price being lower than 3B Tech. However, when I include the Shipping/Handling charges, 3B Tech usually beats them and then some.

Many online computer components have discovered that they can charge whatever they want, when it comes to S/H. Most online 'stores' charge way too much, especially when the item weighs not even a pound.

Needless to say, since they are located in Indiana, the time to ship to me, is usually 3 days and this is ground shipping. I could opt for a quicker time, but I say why? When the FREE shipping time is so quick.

I will buy from 3B Tech in the future. They have proved themselves to me.

In looking over the previous reviews, the last dated one is 10-11-2007. This company now has a NEW OWNER and I must say, I am very impressed with their standards.

I ordered an older MicroATX Socket A Motherboard. Why? Because, this computer is for my grandkids, the oldest being 8. They don't need a big CPU motherboard to do their game playing and learning how to search the Internet for school. The price was excellent, $34.97 with FREE shipping. It would fit the computer case that I had and it just all seem be the solution to the issue.

I ordered the evening of 4-16-2009 and the very next morning, at 9:17am, I got an email apologizing that they no longer had the motherboard that I ordered in stock. To either call them or email them as to what to do. I decided to call them. This was about 9:25am and their store was not open, until 9:30am.

When the store opened, my phone call was answered immediately and I was speaking with Ron, the person who wrote the email. He was wonderful and apologized again, saying they only had 1 motherboard in stock and it was not functioning. He said he couldn't send that one out, he just wouldn't feel right about it.

I really appreciated his honesty and said, I didn't know what to do. I didn't have any more money available to purchase another motherboard that was about the same, but $10 more. I told him this motherboard was for my grandkids, the oldest being 8. He said, "Now, I understand. I was wondering why you were ordering an older motherboard. I agree, this would be perfect for them."

What he suggested next, blew me away. He said, "Why don't I just send out the other motherboard to you?" I reminded him, I didn't have any more money. He said, " I didn't ask for any more money." I said yes, immediately. All of this was on Friday, 4-17-2009 and I received the motherboard on Monday, 4-20-2009!!!

I am definitely a confirmed customer and am now in the process of ordering some memory from them. I definitely recommend this company and give them 100 Atta-boys!!!

Update 5-12-2009:

I have installed the motherboard I purchased and it is working just GREAT!!! I just got some memory modules for it and for an older motherboard, it is quite fast. Almost, as fast as my husband's and mine. We have 'newer' motherboards, but they are discontinued now. I am one happy camper!!!

Update: 5-27-2009

Just ordered a black floppy disk, for my new computer case on 5-22-2009. I got the black floppy drive on 5-26-2009 in perfect condition and it is NOT a 'pulled or used' floppy disk, but a brand new one dated Feb 2009, plus it's a Sony. I can NOT complain about anything that PC Direct is doing. The new owner seems to have gotten it 'right' with the right kind of components and the way customers should be treated. All of this and FREE shipping on every item in their stock!!!

Update: 6-17-2009

I ordered several different items, a CPU, a CD-RW/DVD, a CPU Heatsink & Fan and a Video Card. I have installed everything I ordered and they are working GREAT!!! I must sound like a 'broken record', but, I am one mighty pleased customer. Every order is packed securely and the shipping is FREE ... What more can you ask for. Plus, my orders have all been shipped in a very timely manner.

Update: 1/20/2010

Ordered more components and as expected everything arrived in excellent condition and worked!!! Upgraded my daughter's computer, from a Socket A to an Intel 775. It was time. Also, got a terrific deal on a 160GB MDT SATA Hard Drive! Spent only about $105 and she has a great working 'new' computer. Plus, FREE shipping, always!!! What more can you ask for?!

Once again, I was called by phone, that the Celeron D CPU I ordered, was 'out of stock' and no more would be coming into the warehouse. Problem, very easily solved, I upgraded to a Pentium 4, the order was shipped and I received it 2 days later. I really do love this company and their efficiency.

This company is AWESOME, in my book!!!

I have been purchasing from Package2you[P2U], for about 3 years, now. I have always found the components that I have needed, for an excellent price, plus, the shipping charges are so very low and affordable. I love to repair, rebuild/upgrade and build PCs for family and friends. It is especially nice, to find a company that does handle *older* components, since, there are many individuals that simply can not afford to purchase new PCs. Or I can build a *newer* system, with discontinued/used/refurbished components. What with the way computer technology is advancing, why not???!!!

I am NOT a random customer, but a well established one. I have ordered many, many times including items like motherboards, CPUs, video cards, sound cards, modems, cable sets, *Screwless* Case screws, ATX Cases, so on and so forth.

Only once, have I request a RMA, for two Socket 7 motherboards, that I had purchased. I had ordered a model that had capability to add USB headers. The model that they had sent me, did not have this capability. It was no problem. A RMA was issued, I returned the motherboards and the *right* model was shipped out to me.

Today's issue was different. I had to cancel an order, that I made over the weekend. I called Pam Schmitz, explained my problem and she handled it with professionalism and thoroughness.
I have only dealt with Pam, through emails. It was a GREAT pleasure to finally, get to talk with her in person. She is warm, friendly and a complete asset to P2U. I felt, as though I was talking with an *old friend*. I like doing business with companies, that treat their customers with respect and as though, they are *special*.

Before, I wrote this review, I read some of the comments by other purchasers. I was totally amazed at the *very dissatisfied* comments. I personally felt, that they were talking about a complete different company, then the one I have dealt with.

One thing, I must point out, when a company deals in *overstocked*, discontinued, refurbished and *pulled* items, things can and do happen. However, my experience has been that P2U stands by their policies and the products. All of the items, that I have purchased have been in good to excellent condition and in working order.

I highly recommend P2U to all of my family and friends. In fact, they are in my *top ten* list of companies, that I prefer to do business with, online.

It saddens me GREATLY, that this company went *out of business*, in March 2003 and no longer exists.

I wrote the following review, because I was extremely impressed with both the company and the individuals that worked there. Just to note, that the 2 Micron Client computers, that I purchased, are STILL going strong and working excellently!!! It is a real shame, that a GOOD company *goes under* and others, that *leave MUCH to be desired* are still in existence.

Review, written June 2002.

I LOVE Team Excess!!! Andrea, in customer service, is wonderful!

It is absolutely fabulous, to have a company, that deals with *older* components, selling to the consumer, with extremely, reasonable pricing, PLUS...most items come with a 30 day money back guarantee and 1 year warranty!!! Just AWESOME!

I have been purchasing from Team Excess, for about 1 year, now and I have been extremely pleased. I did have to return a hard drive, but that was NOT a problem. I did everything through e-amil. I could have called, since they have an 800 number, but I was *testing* their process. I was NOT disappointed, not one bit. In fact, I was extremely impressed with the whole e-mail process, that occurred. Bottom line...Andrea truly READ my e-mail and followed through, honoring the company's policy of the 1 year warranty and sent out another hard drive, of equal quality and value.

I have also been involved, in the purchasing of 2 MicroClient Pro towers. One was for a friend, who is so PLEASED and the second, I purchased for my daughter, as a birthday present. Both units worked beautifully, on arrival and the packaging for shipment, was totally unbelievable. China, could not have been packaged any better!!!

I HIGHLY recommend this company, to ALL of my computer *geek* friends and to ALL computer *geeks*, that are interested in obtaining, older components. I enjoy bringing older computers, back to life and Team Excess really helps me, achieve my goals.

Team Excess has a customer, for life...me!!!

Thank you, Team Excess and a VERY special thanks to Andrea!!!
