Excellent, as advertised. They offer a nice selection of shipping options. Former web address www.AdvancedMart.com. I didn't see their telephone number displayed online, but it is given on their invoices. Their web site is simple, but they have been around a while. E.g. one of their products was well reviewed some time ago at a famous specialty site www.flashlightreviews.com.

Friendly efficient telephone ordering. Some manufacturers don't allow retailer discount prices to be shown or ordered online, for some products. It is well worth getting a toll-free telephone quote from Alamia for those. Alamia shipped my medium-weight item double boxed. And by FedEx, which seems to have a somewhat better reputation for handling heavier items than UPS. Excellent.

Good catalogue selection, and it seems no minimum order amount or "handling" fees. However they still will not tell you what the shipping charges are online. You have to trust them. What may have started just as poor online software with no database about size/ weight/ special handling, now seems to have become an affectation with Allied.

Their charges indeed may be just their cost for shipping. However several dimensions are not obvious to customers. How many warehouses/ shipments are required? What charges for special handling?

At least pay close attention to the tiny icons in the product descriptions, which Allied describes at
www.alliedelec.com/CustomerService/ShippingInfo.asp

Fine, as advertised, and good prices of course. Their system has one quirk, that if an item is out of stock and the manufacturer ships the item to them first, you may get an e-mail that the product has shipped. Which it has, although not to you yet!

I understand that others have had some poor experiences, and those people feel more motivated to write. I guess you have to judge from the average of all comments. My experience was good.

Certainly it was not AltRec's fault that a customer ordered the wrong boot size. Of course that is a common problem with getting any clothes without seeing them previously.

Perhaps there's a market for a web site which could try to address that issue, from collecting the size charts from many manufacturers, and people's comments about their own sizes and what fits them, or how it did not. How a product line's sizes "run". Cheers

Free shipping is said to be 5-9 business days, but elapsed time can be twice as long. E.g. when "in-stock" items do not even ship for one week. It's ok for the price, so long as you know.

Update: I have had adequate experiences with Amazon before, but my latest order is a disaster. Packing was very poor, so a heavier item was crashing around inside the box. And two items advertised as compatible are not: one a power supply for the other! I'm afraid this has made me much more circumspect about using Amazon again, and will see how much time and money this takes to resolve.

Everything fine, as advertised. AD seems to be more of an industrial supplier, and so correspondingly professional. A serious hobbyist/ consumer may find them as I did. Cheers

Fine as advertised. Seems to be the main or sole online U.S. retailer for some foreign brands. Decent prices, although usually not the lowest. Of course you know their prices before you order.

Oops, if I had read earlier reviews, I might not have purchased. However in fairness my order was fine, as advertised.

I'm beginning to think that every online order is a crapshoot, with any company. I've had varied service from many online companies, some with good and some with bad reputations. Still it is worth some attention at least to Reseller's average recent ratings. Encourage your friends to review too. The more votes, the better the data. Cheers.

Ehhh. The only reason I ordered from Bellacor is that they are an authorized dealer for a very good furniture manufacturer (Uttermost). But their prices were the same as everywhere else. And otherwise I tend to believe people's negative reviews rather than the other positive ones.

1. As is somewhat typical, my UPS shipment arrived with box badly damaged but inside ok. Bellacor provides no guidance, and still has not answered my email inquiry, regarding any future shipments: whether they prefer me to refuse such a delivery.

2. I don't know how other people's UPS service is, but UPS doesn't ring MY house doorbell. So I want to know when to expect delivery, to check for damage and to avoid a package from being stolen after being left at my door. Bellacor emailed me a tracking number, but not until after the delivery took place. See the other similar review.

3. I suggested that they offer a shipping option which requires the customer's signature. No reply to that email either.

Ho humm.

Fine for me, but I am not very concerned about back orders. I saw no indication on their web system whether a product is in stock or not. So if that's a factor for you, you better phone first. Their prices all include shipping currently.

When they confirm the order by e-mail, which is not a secure medium of course, they are better than some stores in that they echo very little of the credit-card info -- only the billing address.

I would prefer that the invoice enclosed with the shipment showed prices, but it does not.

As with many web retailers, it is easy for them to adjust their prices, and they seem to do that frequently, presumably reflecting short-term supply and demand.

Orders fulfilled is by Red Rock Products, whose other related companies are: EverythingYoga.com, Pro-Tec-Athletics, Fitnesstoys.com, and ShowMeDiscounts.com.
