-This is an update from a post about 5 pages back. This is the update that I completely forgot to add.

Well, I finally got the second stick after 2 weeks and once again, it was junk. I took this stick to my local computer store and had it tested, guess what, it's junk. Of course, I am not surprised after reading some of the articles on the internet about this company being just one of several names for a business that is supposedly dealing in "shady" business practices. I'm not sure if it's true, but it does make you wonder when you can't get a product that works, can't get any customer service, and then get a 512 stick of ram, that posts as 256 and causes your computer to crash.

Just wanted to comment again on this company. I was given the name of this company several times, but I was leary of using an online retailer for motherboards, processors, memory, video cards etc. I've dealt with 1CoolPC many times and loved their service, but hey, it's only heatsinks and fans. The components I've purchased from NewEgg are MUCH more CRITICAL. I have to admit they are a great company. I've never had to return anything, but I understand that the process is easy. The automated system is great and the frequent emails updating my order really makes me feel more at ease. I will no longer worry about Pricewatch since newegg is always competitive. They now have a DIEHARD customer.

Edit:
By the way, it sure is nice not seeing "canned" positive comments from company execs trying to improve their ratings! If you are reading this and believe this company is too good to be true, just give them a try, maybe something cheap. They really as good as we are making them out to be.

Is it me, or does it seem odd that the person responding from google gear seems to have all the answers to these people problems although they are probably using aliases and never used these names while purchasing?

Does anyone believe that someone is angry that they couldn't get 10 sticks of 256mb ram for $0.00. Sounds like bogus post to try to make themselves look good. I looked into their ratings on another site and they were terrible!

As usual my order was correct, nicely packaged, and was exactly as described. I continually purchase from 1CoolPC and I have never been disappointed. Email responses are quick, advice is good, and prices are fair - good. The help I get and the confidence I have with this company is a worth a few dollars more than buying from a noname discount company.
