I bought two batteries to replace the batteries in my APC UPS battery backup/ surge protectors. I noticed one of the recommendations was wrong for the battery matching on their site so I emailed them and got a reply a couple days later and they fixed the problem on their site. Its actually really neat that they have that battery matcher so you know what battery to get for which UPS model. Also the prices were WAY better than any other site I checked. Im happy.

The website was good, actually I check now and they updated it, probably better. I ordered some nutritional bars, way cheaper in boxes than in singles at the grocery store. I used C/O mail to the address that I had added to my credit card as well, this was no problem at all. I received confirmation and shortly tracking info in emails. My package came all right, packed well, not late. I had no need to contact them. This doesn't really tell a lot about them for the first entry here but if all their transactions are like this, then it's a good place of course.

I ordered a few small things, Zalman fan brackets and fan grills, and everything went smoothly. I wanted to get the Zalman fan bracket without the fan usually included and they had it. I emailed them a question about an item before I ordered and got a quick response. I love the selection of products they have.

I ordered the magnificent Samsung 192t LCD monitor from them because of their 30 day 0 dead pixel warranty. I emailed them for more info on their warranty before I ordered and they responded quickly that basically if there is anything you don't like, you can return it and they'll send you another one. I really liked this because I have read a lot about people getting LCDs with some dead pixels and newegg.com has an 8 DEAD PIXEL warranty! It would really suck if you got stuck with a monitor with 7 dead pixels! I received my monitor packaged in the retail box and it only has one dead sub-pixel, which you cannot see unless you put up a black screen and look closely for it. I am very happy, the monitor blows me away. BCD2000 is a very good store.

I ordered some hard to find Panaflo FBK 120mm fans and grills from ThermalFX and it was a great purchase. They were in the process of upgrading their site that day so I had to wait a little bit but Dan was great. He responded to emails and everything went well.

**EDIT AGAIN: Well I sent them email (to all their accounts listed :) they responded almost immediately, they are definitely good about replying to emails, I wonder if this has anything to do with it. Apparently a capital letter in my email address in my account with them and what shows up when I try to unsubscribe differ and that's why they haven't unsubscribed me the other times. It makes sense but still they replied the other times saying sorry and I will be taken off the list, and it didn't work. My rating goes back up, the saga continues :)

**EDIT: OK this is really ticking me off, I have told them not to email me their flyers repeatedly at least 5 times and I just got another one AND the usubscribe doesn't even work. I really hate this so this will give my review a black eye. It was previously "very satisfied" but not anymore. No more Mr. Nice Guy.

I ordered a brand new Tyan motherboard (i875 ANNRF) from them. They listed it on their site even though they didn't have it in stock, but I had already guessed this when I learned how new this board was. I also emailed Tyan and they said it would be in N. America stores in a couple weeks. They are in Canada and you can change the currency throughout the site to USD, however their invoice is in Canadian currency (don't worry they charged the correct USD to my credit card). Shipping was a little steep but not outrageous.

Aug 13 - placed order w/ Bytewize, charge to my card appeared same day
Aug 14 - received email from Tyan, board will be in stores in next 2 weeks.
Aug 15 - Got promo flyer email from Bytewize, I email them to take me off their list and send another email about my mobo, curious if they actually have it. They respond within the hour late Fri. night (this was right after Northeast blackout and they are at work monitoring systems) taking me off their list and say that this late they can't get info about my mobo but assume they have stock or expect stock Monday.
Aug 18 - They email back, say it's not in stock. Says supplier-provided ETA has been delayed, apologizes nicely and says will send it ASAP. I don't mind it much since I already knew.
Aug 31 - Receive invoice email from Bytewize
Sept 3 - I email them at night asking if invoice meant anything, checking up
Sept 4 - Receive email, says he's checking for updates often. Says it's "overdue" at their supplier and new ETA is Sept.12.
Sept 15 - Receive email monday, the boards just arrived at their supplier friday evening
Sept 16 - my order shipped
Sept 25 - Finally receive mobo, everything good, it works great

One thing to note is that I could only track the package in Canada, once it crossed into the US the tracking didn't work. They said they might be getting FedEx or UPS shipping soon however. The Tyan board still is only listed on 1 Yahoo store and says out of stock and only a few on pricewatch have it.

I definitely recommend them mainly for their excellent customer services (email them and they email back quickly, reliably), their site is nice too.

Ordered a nice case, round ide cable, and a very expensive video card. They cancelled my order because the ship address was different from the bill address. I put a very descriptive comment in with the order that I had already setup my shipto address with my credit card but I get this email from them saying they cancelled my order because they could not verify my shipto address with Citibank. I email back politely but firmly asking what the problem was, I did everything correctly. They email back saying they were able to verify the shipto address on the second try. Their words: "I tried again to confirm your alternate shipping address with your bank. This time I was successful. For future reference, they want merchants to first provide your main shipping address and then they will confirm the alternate shipping address. It's unusual for them to do that but luckily we were able to do it." Maybe they were inexperienced at doing this, but plainly it wasn't my fault. In any case, they responded promptly to my emails and reinstated my order and shipped it quickly. They made up for the mistake with great service. My stuff arrived packed very nicely and in perfect shape.

I found them as a yahoo store I believe but they are the crappiest company I ever dealt with. I ordered 3 parts for $100. They charged my account very quickly. They auto-sent me an email with contact info and a link to an order tracking page that wouldn't recognize my order number. Website says they are upgrading phone system so email instead. Emailed contact in their order email to me. Invalid email. Emailed to all email contacts on their page, only 1 went through but never got a response. Called them, some automated answering services for a company with a different name. Left message, never got reply. Used other phone numbers - they weren't in service. By that time (week after order) I had no clue that this actually was a real company and thought I had been completely scammed. Continued calling, finally someone picked up and talked to dude a couple times, discovered correct (different) tracking page on their site. It had shipped the day before by Fedex instead of the UPS that I paid for. I had already bought comparable parts from Best Buy and new computer was finished. Package didn't ship after 3 weeks. Called them again, both agreed that I'd refuse package and Fedex would send it back no charge and they'd refund my money. Finally received package and I refused it. I wait a long time and they don't refund my money. I dispute it with Citibank - Citibank puts $100 back in my account. Sent Citibank all contact info, all correspondence, and long letter per their request. Citibank says dispute resolved a month later, keep my $100. I hope Citibank ripped them a new one. They are now no longer a Yahoo store.

I ordered on 2 occasions from them, once from their Yahoo store, once from their main store. In the 1st order I was trying to find a matching CDROM to go with a DVDRW I was buying somewhere else and I bought the SONY CDU5211 (http://www.essencompu.com/nupplysingar.asp?ID=525) and it did not look like the picture at all. Instead it looked quite crappy. It was however shipped very fast. I RMAed it and it took them about 8 days after they received it back to give my money back. I ate the shipping cost both ways. My 2nd purchase from them was some memory and everything went fine. I'd recommend them, just don't trust the pictures, call if you have to. On my first order, they called me the morning after the night I ordered because my ship and bill addresses didn't match. I confirmed to them that I had setup a ship address with my credit card and my package shipped that same day!
