I am an avid PC builder / Hobbyist and I have ordered tons of parts through online merchants and never had any trouble, that's probably because I had never used Performance-PCs before. I have spent the last few months buying parts and have spent over $2000 on a computer I'm building as a Christmas Present. All I had left to buy was the case, fans, and liquid coolant. I was looking for a Windowed Bitfenix Colossus Venom case but every other online merchant was out of stock, except for Performance-PCs and Heatsink Factory. So I placed my order (I went with performance-pc) on Wednesday and paid for priority shipping, my credit card was charged $270 (for case, fans, and coolant) almost immediately. At 1:37pm today I received an email telling me that the Bitfenix case, that the Performance-PC website said was in stock, is actually, not in stock. Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal but because they charged my card BEFORE even checking to see if the case was in stock I got screwed out of $270 that I won't see return to my bank account for another week. So now, not only will I not be able to finish the build on time for Christmas, I will have to wait another WEEK just to get the money back so I can order the case from somewhere else. Also, turns out all this merchant does is Drop-Ship the items to you from the vendor (Which in my case is none other than Bitfenix itself, whose website has said the case was out of stock for a while now....). This is my first, and will be my last time dealing with them.
