Do not purchase anything from this business.
I placed an order 11/06/03 for 2 Mitsumi 52x32x54
writable cd-roms. I received the order on 11/10/03... I tested both units that night to find one unit was defective, not writing clean & clear.
I requested an RMA, indicating " I found one unit not working properly. It writes,
but is not clear, scratchie, audio cd copy. Written to cd's are not able to be read by other cd-roms. I believe the writing head is not performing at 100 %. I would like a replacement unit."
On 11/11/03 the reply to my email message was from Tech Support: " Have you tried switching the two of them and seeing
what happens "
I replied that I had not understood his question. Also, that I'd rather not be here in RMA land due to additional shipping costs for me to get 2nd working unit per my original order.
RMA # 1 issued... I sent defective unit back to them 11/13/03 via USPS for tracking at a cost to me of $6.10. Unit received by them 11/17/03
11/21/03 I received replacement unit (with no tracking number for me), unit was a Samsung 52X reader rom only... Wrote back requesting them to send correct replacement unit along with return shipping label for reader unit... no dice, another RMA. RMA # 2 due to their "error". RMA granted.
11/22/03 - sent reader unit back via USPS for tracking, another $6.10.
11/26/03 - they receive reader rom unit.
I'm now waiting for replacement unit with no communication from them.
12/02/03 there's a message on my phone answering machine requesting me to call them.
12/03/03 I call during business hours (toll call) and Tech support asks if I want different writer rom, I say no. Then if I want 6-in-1 card reader instead of 1 RMA shipping reimbusrsement, I say no.
Later that same day I receive email that says they've shipped replacement unit with "original order shipping tracking #" !!! Ah, hullloooooo... I already received that order back on 11/10/03 !!! Replied asking for new, current tracking #, no reply.
12/05/03 - received replacement unit (no reimbursement check for shipping), tested, works ok... thank god this is over...
I lost $12.20 and 24 days waiting on 2nd unit replacement... Nevermind frustration from "Tech Support"... I will never purchased here again...
12/13 update: my bank account was credited $6.10 on 12/12... i am pleased to see...
