1/5

I paid UPS to ship something from NJ to MN using guaranteed 3 day. The item should of arrived on the 14th of Feb.
UPS sent it ground. First problem.
I'm hoping it arrives the 14th anyway. It doesn't. It says the estimated time of delivery is the 15th. About 3 am on the 15th, I check the status. Everything is fine.
Then at noon on the 15th, the status page changes. It BACK DATES itself. It says on the 14th at 3:34 am there were "adverse weather delays" in Minnesota.
I live in MN. There was no snow. Not this week. Not last week.
What makes me upset is I was planning this package to arrive on the 15th. In the afternoon on the 14th, I checked the status. It was all clear, so I went and made arrangements for assembly of this package. This involved some additional cost relevant only to the 15th.
Then in the evening on the 14th, everything fine. If they knew there were going to be delays, why wait until noon the NEXT day?
This is my second problem with UPS. They make an error in shipping method and just don't care. Talking to a supervisor is like talking to a record player. They just repeat "I apologize" or "I am sorry" over and over in a monotone voice. They really don't care and make no effort to make things better.
Worse yet, they couldn't tell me where my package was. Even though status said it was in MN, they said they had no physical scan since NJ on the 12th. They couldn't say when the delivery was estimated or anything. Had they shipped it using their "3 day Guarantee" like I paid for, it may of actually arrived.
Use USPS or FedEX.
UPDATE
------
I've been on the phone with these clowns all day. Each one tells you something different.
First person said delivery would be Friday, because it is on a plane from NJ to MN.
Second person said sometime next week, because they have no idea where the package is.
Third person said the package was actually in Minnesota. But I couldn't pick it up and I should watch for an "alpha delivery" and get it from the Maple Grove office.
Fourth person said it was in Minneapolis, but could sit there a couple days depending on the weather in Minneapolis (the weather here is fine and has been fine)
