I ordered an outgoing model 5th gen Apple iPod Nano. I choose MacMall over Amazon because their web site indicated it would ship same day, whereas Amazon will sometimes take several days before actually shipping the order. The price was actually slightly less than Amazon after ordering through the Fat Wallet web site cash back link.

The Nano came out of TN even though MacMall website indicates they are in CA.

I was completely satisfied with the transaction. I received exactly what I ordered, it shipped right away, the price was great and everything was received in good order. There were no problems and I would buy from them again.

I ordered a special sale item one evening for $2.99, including shipping. After a week and not receiving it, I went to their site and found an Order Tracking option.

My order had shipped the next morning and it had a U S Postal Service (USPS)tracking number listed.

I then went to the USPS web site which said the package was delivered to me two days earlier!
I was home that day, and the package was definitely not in the mail.

I sent an e-mail to eForcity customer support that Saturday night about 11:30 PM and to my surpise I received an e-mail back a few minutes later with a couple of suggestions. I let the rep know I had already done what was suggested. She then sent a second note to comfirm my address and said they would send a replacement Monday. I said I would wait a few days to see if the post office was able to find and forward it to me. She responded that to follow up with them in a few days.

Well, the package did not show up so I sent the eForcity rep an update, and she said they would send me a replacement the next day.

They did exactly what they said, and the replacement showed up a few days later.

I have to give them a big thumbs up because:
- There was absolutely no arguement about the missing shipment.
- Late night weekend customer support that was very effective. (First I had ever seen this.)
- The actual order that I ultimately received was as represented and the price was excellent.

I do not know how the customer service could have been any better. I will continue to shop with these folks. (The USPS could learn something about customer service from eForcity.)

I ordered a 2.5 inch hard drive for fifty bucks and an enclosure for $5.50. The order was shipped in a timely manner and I received it in a reasonable time.

I received exactly what I ordered. The drive worked great, but the $5.50 hard drive enclosure was dead on arrival.

I wrote customer support asking what to do. I used their preformated correspondence screens because they do not give you an e-mail address. I never received a response of any kind. Since it was their screens, there was no way to save a copy of my note. (Cut and paste does not work for me.)

By reading their return policy, it looks like I would have had to pay return postage. That is about the same cost as the item. So, I have decided it is not worth the effort to continue.

I do not fault them for the part failure, but I did down rate them for the lack of customer support.

I do not think this is rip-off company, so I might buy from them again if the price were significantly less than elsewhere. I think this is one of those companies where price is a higher priority than customer service. That is ok if the price is right. Figure on some extra effort if something goes wrong.

Follow-up November 25th, 2008

I just want to confirm that they did give me a store credit today in an amount greater than the item in question. Obviously, they monitor their feedback and want to make the customer happy. Based on this goodwill gesture, I will try buying from them again. Hopefully they can work out the flaw in their customer support e-mail failure.

I was after a particular hard to find coax cable trimmer and these folks had it at a fair price with fair shipping.

They shipped the trimmer and some other misc. parts shortly after my order. Everything was as presented on the web site. They appear to be a good and ligitimate company and I would feel comfortable in ordering from them again.

They get a positive thumbs up review.

In August, I ordered a Canon Powershot S5 from US1 via Amazon.Com. I wanted the camera before the Labor Day holiday, so I opted for three day air shipping. Because of the way the shipping charges worked, it was cheaper going thru Amazon than it was ordering direct from the US1 website.

They received the order that afternoon and had it to UPS that same evening. It was well packed. The camera was exactly as represented. It was new, showed no signs of being openned, had a US warranty, and included all the manuals and other items Canon said were in the box. It was just like I could have bought off the shelf at BestBuy, but without the high price.

The best part about this order was there was no "confirming" phone call to upsell. It could not have been any easier and it was the by far the best price among legitimate sellers.

I cannot comment on their communication or customer service because everything on this order went without a hitch. I would definitely buy from them again.

Oh, and the camera is great too!

This is a great company with good products and responsive people. My first order was in August, early Saturday afteroon. They shipped it out the same day from WA state via Priority Mail, and it arrived in AZ Monday afternoon! I ordered a second adaptor this Saturday, but there were server problems authorizing my credit charge. I sent an e-mail describing the problem and received a response a few minutes later, on Saturday. I received a followup e-mail this Monday morning saying all is fixed and my order has been shipped. Their response, concern, and communication is excellent, and so is their adapator for the Canon Powershot S2,3,5.
