I just wanted to vent a little on my experience with this company. I placed an order for 2 items on 5-15-07 and received them a few days later. 1 item was what I order the other was not..I contacted them by phone and could hardly get anywhere with them because they seemed to have trouble understanding me. I told them 1 item they shipped me was for a different make vehicle and they said : return the item by UPS and we will go ahead and send you the correct one. I asked about the return shipping fee, they said just send us the receipt to shipping@thepartsbin.com and we will credit your card for the return shipping. I thought great! But later find out it would not be so easy.
So I sent in the item by UPS ground with signature required and wrote down the RMA # on the box. I emailed the receipt to them and never heard back.. 2 weeks go by and I contacted the company about my order and they said the replacement item was not available? WTF.. I later find out they charged my card for the replacement, so I called them again and they finally refunded my replacement charge. I asked what about the original charge? They said they would look into it and get back with me. 2 more weeks role around and I see they finally did refund the original amount back to my card but not the return shipping.
I sent several emails to them about the return shipping refund and they finally replied :
Hello
The return shipping has been denied. This part was ordered wrong.
I called them to ask why and they said there was nothing they could do about it and they hear what I am saying.. What a joke they pulled on me :( I told them I did not order the wrong part because the is a section where you fill in your vehicles make and model and they still insisted there was nothing they could do. That it was the shipping Dept that made the decision. I asked for their phone number and they said there is no direct number for them. I then just hung up and contacted my credit card company and they understood what had happened and reversed the charge on my original purchase. Yea, Go American Express :)
It may not seem like a big deal but what I did not mention was the item I had to return was big and heavy so it was not cheap to send back.
