Sometime in mid-July this year, I had ordered a power cable to connect my Garnim Nuvi 760 from the body of the unit to my vehicle so that the
GPS would use the car's electrical source instead of GPS's battery. A&M Photo sent me the wrong item. The cable and some other accessories sent were meant to be used for other devices. I had also paid for overnight delivery service as I had a business trip and wanted use the GPS that coming weekend.
The UPS overnight delivery fees charged to me were 2 times the amount normally charged by UPS. So Broadway photo made 100% profit on this fee. I called Broadway Photo explained the error made and also discussed the mailing fees, which I thought was exhorbitant. After some back and forth discussions, the representative informed me that they would credit me for the overnight fees and send me the correct cable connection which was more expensive then the original sent to me and that they would not charge me for the difference. I was of course very happy with this outcome.
Today, I received the "correct" cable and was dismayed to see that it although it was different from the first order it still was not the correct one!!!!!!!! I AM STILL OUT OF HAVING A REPLACEMENT CABLE FOR MY GARMIN NUVI GPS!! Amazing!
I will try this one more time. What I need is a cable that is 5' 5" long; with one end as a small UBS connection and the other end has a 12 volt 4 3/4" long attachment which is inserted into a power source similar to a cigarette lighter. A paper tag attached to the cable has "Garmin GTM 20" written on it and a bar code with #s and letters: 11A955451 below it. And below "REPLACEMENT FUSE F 3A H 250V. On the reverse side E11 / 10R-023487.
Now, I would like to know what I need to do to return this.
Although A&M Photo World cannot complete this purchase for me, they have promised to refund all fees charged for this transaction. Which it is only fair, since both products sent to me were the wrong ones. I do appreciate their efforts to accomodate me financially, but still don't understand their inability to send me the correct item as originally requested.
