Update: Jonathan Velasco, Sales Supervisor reached out to me over the phone and made it right.
I ordered a replacement turbo for my 2004 Passat TDI. The turbo was delivered in a timely manner. I paid $500 for the turbo, a discount of about 50% anywhere else. The shop installed it and then it failed. It cost me $497 to get a complete diagnosis to discover that the turbo was malfunctioning. When I contacted Turbocharger Pros about replacing the turbo they charged me for shipping and wanted a $275 deposit to replace the bad turbo. This, after speaking to the mechanic. So... would I recommend them. NO, I would say it's probably not worth the price saving to get a turbo that may or may not work properly out of the box. There was NO SAVINGS when you figure the cost of diagnosis and all of the time and trouble that buying from this company cost me. In fact, based on how much time was involved I feel that Turbocharger Pros owes me some money. I should have bought a re-manufactured turbo from an established parts company.
