I had shopped with QVC off and on since it bagan back in 1986 but I am no longer a customer. Over the years I have seen their quality and customer service rapidly decline. Their shipping and handling has become way over priced and their prices less competitive. the last straw for me was when my QVC account was hijacked and fradulent charges were made to my account. Someone called in claiming to be me and was able in one quick phone call to change my phone number and pin number. They charged a $3000 TV and some other stuff to my account. Fortunately, I am someone who monitors my accounts daily and I was able to reverse everything. It took me days to get someone at QVC to show any concern over this....I just kept getting "these things happen". finally someone called me from loss prevention and explained to me that they were having a problem tied to my state. When I questioned her about security she was only able to tell me that people figure out ways to cheat the system quicker than they can prevent it. I asked why security passwords are not in place like credit card companies use and her response was "yeah, we keep suggesting that but management just doesn't listen". That was the end for me. I closed my account, filed a police report and stopped shopping at QVC. I will never do business with them again. It's sad really, if they had kept the same integrity and business plan that they started with they could still be a great company to do business with.
