So, if you haven't already found your answer, take it from ME, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PURCHASE FROM "NEED4DIGITAL". FIRST of all, I, like you, did my homework, found the cheapest product around (Canon D10) & further checked out their website. Then I looked up all of the reviews on Need4Digital, & saw a few good ones. I decided to take my chances... MISTAKE #1!!! I noticed that some of the "good reviews" were posted July 28. All of them being 10 stars, used a lowercase 'i' AND on the same date?!? Quite the red flag. Well, just as the other posts promised, I received an email stating that I needed to "call to confirm my order." After waiting on hold for QUITE some time, I spoke with a man at ext. 236. I asked him if I could check on the status of my order & he asked for my order number. I told him I didn't have it handy, but I could give hime my name. That wasn't going to work. So I hung up & called back when I had pulled up my email with the order number. After waiting on hold, AGAIN, he proceeded to tell me that I needed to speak with someone in the "Processing Dept. at ext. 238." So it was HERE that I was told that the camera I ordered was a "WHOLESALE MODEL" and that it, in fact, came with a one-time-use battery. I asked why would it come with a battery CHARGER, then? His reply was "well, it ALSO comes with USB & AV cables to transfer data from the camera to your computer, but it doesn't come with a MEMORY CARD." I told him that I just got off the phone with Canon USA (1-800-385-2155) and they said there is no such thing as a WHOLE SALE MODEL. They only make ONE PowerShot D10 (Model #3508B001) & they sell it retail (one at a time) or wholesale (in bulk). So, needless to say, I canceled my order & purchased through an Authorized Canon Dealer, which you can find a list of on Canon's website.
I was trying to buy this camera in time for my ski trip next weekend, but after waiting 2 days just to get this far with Need4Digital, I doubt it will happen. I should have followed my gut & listened to all of the posts. Another red flag was when you call them, the guy on the recording changes from "Thank you for calling Need4Digital, your one-stop shopping..." to "Thank you for calling KrazyDeals..." or something like that...
Do yourself a favor and avoid them LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
