I ordered a cordless phone battery. The order was promptly acknowledged, shipped the next working day (the order was on a weekend) and was received without incident. It was packaged safely and securely. I will somewhat grumble that the battery was aftermarket, not OEM (Panasonic), and should have been promoted as such on the web page. But it installed and is working fine.

I'm going to ding these guys a star for some questionable business practices (more later), and otherwise this would be a quite spectacular transaction.

I ordered a Maytag French door refrigerator (MFX2570AEB) from this merchant. I was a bit apprehensive about shipping a large and bulky item across the country to Southern California, and also concerned about the reality that apparently all Brooklyn merchants are sleazeballs - anyone into electronic equipment or camera gear knows that. But the web site for the merchant was more than impressive with respect to variety of merchandise and the detailed presentation of information for each product, so I took the risk as the pricing on this particular refrigerator was excellent. The ordering process was easy and painless aside from the hit to my wallet.

It took them three days to get the refrigerator to the shipper. I think that's acceptable for such a major purchase. I received several status Emails and was completely satisfied with everything in the process.

The unit arrived an hour ago, and aside from the two gentleman giving "White Glove" delivery wearing BLACK gloves, I was completely satisfied with the care they showed offloading the big appliance from their truck, removing the pallet and wrapping materials, and delicately maneuvering it into my home.

I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from appliancesconnection.com again given the smooth fulfillment of my order.

As I said, I'm dinging 'em a star for Brooklynese sleaze: After I ordered, they sent an Email offering expedited shipping in return for an immediate favorable review with another rating site. That rubbed me the wrong way, even though it was qualified by "if your haven't received your unit yet - DOH! It hasn't shipped yet - then I could write about the ordering process, the web site, etc. That's a pretty underhanded qualifier, given that it's the resultant purchase that's most important. C'mon guys - you seem to be good enough, at least on the basis of this one order, to not pull stuff like that to up your ratings.

Recap: good web site, easy ordering process, efficient delivery, and proper treatment of a large appliance. I'm very happy.

I'm no stranger to Home Depot, but was somewhat surprised to find that an item I needed was only stocked online, not in the stores. A visit to the nearby store confirmed that.

I needed to replace several interior locksets in my home, as several had failed over the years, not surprising after over forty years. An online search revealed that the particular lockset was most inexpensively stocked by HomeDepot.com. So I ordered three of them, two "privacy" sets and one non-locking set for a closet door.

They were sent within a day or two; they provided a UPS tracking number and the shipment arrived intact. The carton HomeDepot used wasn't as high a quality cardboard as most shipping boxes and was partially ripped. But nothing was likely to damage relatively heavy metal items such as these, so it wasn't a big deal.

I was pleased with the transaction. Not as convenient as picking it up three blocks away, but it would be difficult to fault the price and convenience of dealing with the company online.

I purchased a number of kitchen items, all Kuhn-Rikon. These folks had everything I needed at a quite-attractive price. After submitting the order, I noticed that somehow the (expensive) gift-wrapping option had been checked, causing the order to be about thirty bucks higher than I expected. I wrote an email asking if this option could be undone, checked by phone the next morning, and everything had been smoothly corrected. The shipment went out that morning and has just arrived, well-packaged, a day later. I'm quite pleased with the service, responsiveness, prices, and order fulfillment of this merchant.

I was unfamiliar with this merchant, but another internet site publicized that a particular TomTom GPS was being offered at a quite attractive price, coupled with a free shipping promotion. So I went for it. The item was shipped promptly and I was mailed a FedEx Ground tracking number. The GPS arrived intact today, well packed into a sturdy box. Obviously I'm pleased with the smoothness of this transaction and have no reason not to think highly of the merchant.

I ordered a single item - a 640GB WD Caviar Blue hard drive. The price was attractive and there was no shipping charge.

The order was shipped promptly, packaged securely, and was received without incident. I'm very pleased with this merchant.

Ordered a Toto Ultramax II toilet and a CFG kitchen faucet. Decided to order by phone, not online, just for the reassurance that they could ship something that big and fragile without the shipper smashing it into smithereens. The lady at the other end was reasonably knowledgeable about the products and assured me that the order would arrive intact.

Two days later, the truck was at my door (complete with a driver who wanted to talk about Jesus for a half hour - bleccch) and he carefully moved the pallet into my entrance-way with the contents intact.

In short, a totally smooth transaction. I was pleased with the pricing and the promptness. How could I not have a very positive impression of this merchant?

This order was for a Micron SSD, an Intel motherboard, and a small Samsung DVD-RW drive for a mini-ITX machine I was building. I've ordered from this merchant a small number of times over the years, and this order went smoothly, as had the others. I ordered on a Wednesday, received tracking # notification quickly, and the merchandise shipped at once. It was received two days later, well-packed.

These folks seem to really have their act together. The pricing in these items was quite attractive, and one couldn't possibly expect any more quick or responsive service.

A very positive experience. I needed a bigger hard drive for my Thinkpad laptop. Googlegear had a stellar price for the IBM Travelstar, and a 50 cents FedEx promotion. I ordered on a Tuesday, and sure enough it showed up at the door on Thursday, securely packed. Can't ask for better service than this. I'd offer the optinion that their web site is unusually slow, and could probably benefit from a little more computing power. Otherwise, a first-class, professional merchant.

What a great company. The receipt I got back showed a slightly different memory product than I thought I ordered. With their online chat feature, in a minute or two I had confirmation that the two product numbers really represented the same item, and that I had no need to worry. Coming FedEx two-day, it showed up at the local FedEx depot within a few hours. FedEx kept it overnight to avoid delivering it faster than paid for. (!) The memory installed in my Thinkpad without incident and I'm quite pleased. Given the reasonable price for presumably primo memory, and the free FedEx shipping, one can't help but be quite happy with this company.
