UPDATE: After coming across my review, Newegg contacted me wishing to correct any displeasure. They not only refunded me but also sent me a gift card. I really was not expecting anything from them so it was a very pleasant surprise. Newegg is for sure on my 5 star "A" list again.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:I normally would give them 5 stars but my last order caused some displeasure. I buy mostly hard drives from them & Tiger. And have had many good experiences.
The last purchase was a product they were obviously just trying to sell cheap instead of discarding it. It was a MASSCOOL usb enclosure Model UHB-340UI/PS. It was only $12.00 but the point is why sell something at all that can't funtion. Only one of my 4 [XP Pro] PC's actually recognized that something is plugged into the USB port but can't identify it. Going online to locate a driver for it turned up nothing available anywhere. It even came with a driver disc for Windows 98. Obsolete or what. I bought it to use later so it was a couple months before I got around to needing it. But they have a 30 day refund or return policy so that was that. Would not have been worth the return postage anyway. But why waste my hours of diagnostic energy by selling an item that didn't have a chance of working.

I was looking for a dual-deck cassette player for my wife to listen to her large tape collection and wanted something better than a cheap boom box type. I did not study this "ION" unit enough before I bought it and did not realize that it's MAIN purpose is to transfer your tapes to your computer. Neither of the decks had an "Auto-Reverse" feature for extended listening. My fault completely. I him-hawed around about keeping it or not [I hate returning anything] and waited far too long to send it according to their rules. I emailed them about my mistake and they still send me a return label instantly with no questions asked. I got my refund right away and was contacted by AMS twice more to make sure everything worked out to my satisfaction. So yes, I am extremely happy with this company. They could have rightfully told me to "pound sand" but took the high road instead. Great folks! Maximum stars.

The CV boot kits arrived in 1-2 days, price was great, quality was excellent. Could not be happier with the transaction. As is turned out, the outer CV joints on a Villager have to be broken and destroyed to remove them from the shaft. Thus, my simple boot job was not possible. Took them to a local company here in Madison WI ["CV Pros"] where he gave me both remanufactured shafts for 59.95 each PLUS he bought the boots I purchased from Partsgeeks for within 5.00 of what I paid for them. Again, I couldn't be happier.
Thank you,
Mike
