"While researching a laptop purchase decision, initially between the Alienware M5790 and the Dell XPS M1710, I stumbled across the specs of the Clevo M570U. Seemingly an impressive machine for the money, I decided to investigate resellers. After careful evaluation of pricing and configuration, xVx stood out among the crowd as having the lowest price of any systems builder that also offered the extended 3 year warranty as well as 3 year accidental damage protection plans. Few companies even offer comprehensive accidental damage protection (for example, Alienware does not) but being a single parent of a feisty and inquisitive little girl, it quickly became a make or break feature for me.
Hesitant about spending 3000 dollars with a company I had never heard of before, I was leaning towards the Dell. But my curiosity led me to utilize the online chat available through the xVx website. The representative (Angelo) was friendly, informative, and completely understanding of my hesitation. He went to great lengths to illustrate xVx’s legitimacy and staying power and never seemed to get flustered by my rapid fire questions. I can credit my purchase decision to his handholding without a doubt. They were very cooperative with the detail of my purchase (as it was technically bought through my company) and worked with me on getting the unadvertised backpack option and spare ac adapter added to my order.
On February 23rd I ordered an xVx Monstruo-M S400.
Post-sale and pre-delivery, I had no less than 10 separate chat sessions with a good portion of their staff. They answered my questions as best as they could, and despite some misunderstanding over the compatibility with the included TV-Tuner, where never less than 100% helpful and seemed almost as eager as I was for me to take delivery of the system.
When shipping was delayed by 2 days because of quality control requirements (it’s longer if you don’t order an operating system), they upgraded my shipping for free in an effort to get me the laptop in 2 weeks.
The machine arrived (early!) in excellent packing (through from what I understand, pretty standard for Clevo units) and I was able to get the operating system and driver software installed without a hitch. When I had some questions regarding which specific driver was appropriate, a quick chat with an online representative provided enough information to complete my install. He was as surprised as I was that the machine had arrived so soon (Friday March 9th) because FedEX estimated delivery was the following Monday. He informed me that they usually call the customer on delivery day to insure there were no problems and asked if I would like someone to call me. I mentioned that the backpack and spare AC adapter wasn't included. He was appropriately apologetic that the backpack's status had not been communicated to me (it was out of stock) and offered to next-day the spare adapter to me at no extra charge. Since they threw in the standard messenger bag and I did have an AC adapter with the machine, I told them to hold the adapter until the backpack was available, and to ship them together. Mistakes are absolutely acceptable to me so long as responsibility is assumed and resolution is pursued. I told him not to bother someone with calling me because the machine was perfect and he had answered the only questions I had. Within 2 weeks to the hour of my order, I had a functioning and installed xVx Monstruo-M S400 on my desk.
I can’t speak highly enough about their customer oriented business practice as I’ve experienced it. I would certainly recommend xVx to friends and family and when it comes time for me to make another computer purchase, xVx will be one of the first places I look.
[ Edited for word choice, and because I had neglected to mention the reason for the lack of a customer satisfaction call (covered in chat), which I feel is a nice human touch to what can be a fairly humanless process these days ]"

"Incredible customer support during the order process. I sent numerous emails after hours and got replies that night. Outstanding knowledge and the chat sessions proved productive in my negoitation. I can't wait for the A780 to arrive."
"The computer is very good with all that was said it would be, very well designed and sturdy. The website I purchased it from was easy to use and they answered all my questions with live chat prior to my purchase. "
"After some research, I decided on the Clevo m570u. I found about 20 companies who rebranded this machine and sold it under their name(xVx calls it the monstruo S400.) I narrowed my search down to 3 resellers based on price, resellerratings and recommendations on notebookforums & notebook review. (On the forums xVx had the least information, which was a little scary, but that's deceptive.) I called and left messages with all 3 on a Sunday. 1 never called me back, 1 called me back but didn't seem willing to help and the third person was Edgar from xVx. He called back within a few hours and he was helpful. He answered questions about special orders and even some that went beyond the range of what was related to this notebook specifically. xVx also had the lowest price to start, without having to worry about any price matching/negotiating.
I ordered the notebook online on Monday Feb 5, which was an easy process. I had added a few minor special requests on my order, all of which were addressed and done exactly as I requested. My credit card company called me within 24 hours to verify the purchase, so I know they started processing right away. Every few days I received an email letting me know where my notebook was in the process. Initially the computer had an expected ship date of February 14. On February 14th, I kept jumping on the online chat all day and asking various questions. I received varying levels of service through the online chat. None of the chat personnel was rude or terribly bad, but some may not have had enough time/information for my overactive mind. My best chat experience was with Meti, who actually walked over to where they were running quality control to find out the status for me. My computer did not ship on the 14th because the hard drive did not pass quality control and they needed to replace it and re-do the quality control. On the 15th my computer wasn't ready when FedEx came, so as I found out when I received it, Jean C.(who shipped it,) upgraded my optical drive free of charge for the delay. I called on the 17th concerned because I didn't have a tracking number yet, and spoke to Alex. Alex was wonderful! Alex researched and found out what happened with the shipping of my computer. Although my machine had already gone out to FedEx, his manager Alba, says she drove over to FedEx that day to have it upgraded to Overnight shipping, free of charge to me. Throughout this I received several calls and emails with status updates and more information from both Alex and Alba. I received my machine on the morning of Thursday, Feb 20th via the overnight shipping. This was exactly when I was expecting to get it originally with the 14th ship date and ground shipping. The day my computer arrived I received a follow up call from Alex to make sure everything was ok and also to offer assistance if I needed any help with drivers or anything,(since I ordered it without an OS.)
I haven't spent too much time with my computer yet, to give a full comment on it yet. At first glance, the only thing about it that xVx might have done better is that there is one little piece of the plastic casing in the back which sticks out, apparently because someone put the case together and didn't realize it wasn't lined up exactly. This can easily be fixed.
Overall, I would rate the phone customer service A+ and the online chat about a B/B- and give my overall ordering experience an A/A+. Based on my experience to this point, I would definitely order from them again, and recommend them to a friend, (with the only caveat being that if you have a very specific question call, rather than trying to ask it through the chat option.) I don't think you can go wrong by ordering from xVx, they are very customer-orineted and really want to make you happy with your purchase.
****Update**** It has been nearly 1 year since my purchase; I can no longer recommend xVx. I have the 3 year warranty and 3 year accidental damage protection. I have needed an RMA 2x, each time has been a hassle. On the first occasion, I simply needed them to send me a new optical drive. They sent me the new drive, but I had to fight with them just to get them to send me the label to send the broken one back to them. This second time has been much worse. I originally contacted xVx on 12/8, they never responded to my voicemail; after my email on 12/12, they set up the RMA. I fought with them for a month just to send me a packing slip so I could return it to them. Finally on 1/3, I received the FedEx slip to mail it out to them. I mailed it out on 1/7 and it was supposed to be returned to me within 7 days from their receipt of the package. I finally received the laptop back today – 2/1. And it's not fixed!!! The packing slip says they replaced the motherboard, but it has not been replaced and the problem is no better then when I mailed it out. The reason I cannot recommend them is because it's too much work any time you need anything from them and in my opinion they are not trustworthy.
Additionally, sometime shortly after my 12/8 call to them, their phone service was disconnected. You cannot call xVx; they never have the online chat option available anymore, so that leaves the only method for contacting them as email. I am going to email one more time and give them ANOTHER chance to get this right.
I am tired of xVx's excuses and the blaming FedEx for xVx's issues. I'm tired of the hassle and headache of trying to work with them. I'm tired of having to be all over them in order to get any kind of response from them. If I could do it again, I would take my $3000 and purchased my laptop elsewhere. The laptop is mostly solid; xVx's service is anything but."

"XVX is by far one of the best reseller companies out there. Having dealt with companies like Dell and Alienware and Gateway, rest assured that XVX and it's customer service are better than any of the aforementioned companies customer service. I've not had any hardware problems with my computer at all and only minor software problems, and to my surprise was the fault of microsoft. Go figure? The only gripe I have about XVX is that their e-mail system is pretty slow and shipping could be a bit quicker. Other than that, a fine reseller company and would in turn do more business with. A 4 out of 5 stars for XVX."
"I would have to say my overall experience with XVX exceeded my expectations. The customer service was top notch and oh ya.....the P550 fully loaded that I ordered is awesome. I maxed out every option, including the ram and video card and it had no problems with BF2 or Fear. I replayed HL2 just to see the awesome graphics. I have not had to work with tech support, but then that's a good thing. I would highly recommend XVX to anyone looking for a high-end gaming laptop."

"Just received my Laptop from XVX, and put it through it's paces last nite. I have to say that this is probably the best notebook i've owned to date. xVx kept me well informed during the building/ordering process, and the staff were a pleasure to work with. The only Snafu during the whole process was that Fed Ex lost the computer during shipment. xVx promptly began dialog with them and kept me informed during the whole process. So far, my experiences with them put them at the top of the list for computers. I will be buying from them again."
"Very good quality laptop, fast and just what i expected. You need a fast machine for anything really, if you just need a fast state of the art laptop computer, this company will make it for you. Had it for over a year, from the looks of it, i will have this baby for about 4 more years!!"
"One day i was reading PC Gamer magazine and i saw an ad that xVx had in that issue. I went and check them out, everything look good to me. What made me buy an xVx machine was there prices. So i order and waited to for it to be ship to me. Well that day came and WOW! the computer was alot better than i expected. I had a little problem the next month, so i called xvx tech support, and they fixed the problem in just less than 5 minutes. If you want a great system at a great price i recommend xVx!"
