"I recently ordered a biology textbook from this site. I researched all over and this site was the least expensive for the book. I purchased new (since it just came out this year), so I can not speak on the quality of the used inventory. However, the new book shipped smoothly, it actually came faster than expected, was cheaper then anyone else that I could find and is getting me through my biology class. I could not ask for a better experience! And, I also do not get a whole lot of SPAM from textbooks.com, and this is greatly appreciated. "
"I bought this book through textbook.com and towards the end of the quarter, i found 10 pages missing and torn from the book. Unbelievable, textbook.com claim that their used book contains all pages. this is not true, buyers beware. Textbook.com does not make sure all book meet their requirement! However, Textbook.com did send me a new book and asked me to return the old one. The service is recommendable. "

"They sent me a textbook that was missing a CD, but the customer service rep on the phone was extremely helpful. He understood that I needed my book and CD immediately for a class, so he shipped out a new one right away and emailed me a pre-paid label to send back my defective book at no extra cost to me. He even told me I could wait until the new book was received before I sent back my old one. AMAZING SERVICE!!! I will definitely be back and I am spreading the word to my classmates looking for textbooks!"
"My son lost his 8th grade history book. His school wanted $85 to replace it. I ordered the same book from Textbooks.com for $9.99 after shipping. The book arrived 6 days later in nearly brand new condition. This book is in better condition than his original book. No writing in it, no bending at the spine, no missing pages, no marks on the cover. I am very impressed and will be telling all of the other parents I know to use this vendor. "
"I ordered a Medical surgical book at a great price. That is where the fun ended. Upon UPS delivery, the package that was supposed to contain a 9 lb book was completely empty, not even a packing slip. I called and was told that they could reship the order the next day. This is a problem since I needed the book today. It would appear that there is little to no quality control when it comes to shipping the items ordered. I am not sure if I will use textbooks.com in the future as not enough was done to get my order out ASAP."

"I placed orders for my daughter's textbooks in the fall and just this month. No problems with either purchase. I also sold a book back this month and received payment within 10 days after they received the book."

"Sold three books to them and it was a flawless and painless transaction. It was really easy to lookup the books by ISBN number and get a quote too. Then I printed the prepaid UPS label, packed up all my books in a nice box using plastic bags and torn out pages from an old phonebook, stuck the UPS label on the box, and dropped the package off at a nearby UPS location. I shipped the books on Jan 27 and had my check by Feb 9th. Got emails from them every step of the way so I knew what was going on with my buyback. No funny business with these guys, they paid me exactly what they said they would pay me. This was SOOO much better than getting screwed over at the local textbook shop. Way to go Textbooks.com, I will be telling my friends!"
"I purchased a used book - Organizational Behavior. All went well until the buyback time came. I sent the book back using the mailing instructions that were given to me, and the book was in the same condition that I received it in.
Textbooks.com advised me that the book had water damaged and they would not reimburse me. After some phone calls back and forth, I gave a credit card for the 12.50usd to send my book back. This was deducted from my account on 1/9/09. Today is 1/28/09 and I have still not received my book. I called yesterday, and I spoke to Helene, and Daniel. On two different occasions these two employees advised me the person handling my account was not at their desk. In addition, I asked to speak to a supervisor but I was only placed in voicemail.I did leave a voicemail but I am still awaiting a reply. If my staff offered this type of customer service to our clients, it would be considered bad service!"
