"I made a mistake when I ordered a few sticks of ram, ordering the wrong size but when I called Newegg to see if there was anything I could do, I was blown away. Sarah, the awesome representative I spoke too, went out of her way and not only waived the re-stocking fee but also helped me with the return shipping label as well. That is why I'll continue to shop at Newegg. Absolutely no regret shopping, eggcellent service and fantastic prices. Thanks!"

"I did a big order and submitted it but forgot to add the promo codes for an additional discount. I did a chat with Newegg and they fixed the problem within a few minutes without any delay. I've been a shopper with them for years, and this is one of the many, many reasons why. Thank you for fixing my problem and for being a great retailer!"

"I use to love Newegg I've been a loyal customer since January 2005. I always thought newegg.com was one of the best things on the web but my latest experience with my newegg.com RMA/refund has completely changed my opinion of them. I feel very much like I'm experiencing the passing away of a old dear friend. Seems like Newegg is getting too big, greedy and extremely stupid they don't mind constantly offending and frustrating customers they think a fake apology is suppose to cover that up.

Newegg is abusing a reputation they have built up over the years. My RMA/refund process with them was a total nightmare it involved many emails and phone calls they did nothing but make mistakes, stall, contradict, lie, give excuses and phony hollow apologies for all the constant incompetence and frustration they put me through. It was like every couple of days I was beating a mule to get it to move a few inches. I constantly had to pressure them to get answers and they constantly gave me false or confusing information on my refund. It look like to me they where hoping I would just get tired of this process and just give up so they could keep my money.

The product I bought from one of their sellers should not even be allowed to be sold it is so cheap it just breaks even before you can put it together. All along they promised to give me a full refund plus my shipping expenses for RMAing it back. Only after I threatened to open a paypal dispute they finally gave me a refund but it turned out to only be a partial refund!! even though the return invoices said it was to be a full refund, they also said this was to be full refund in the phone conversations I had with them (I have the phone recordings) and on the emails. So this case is not over, now I am embroiled in contesting them with my credit card company. These people are amazingly stupid you cannot treat customers like they treated me and expect to have a good success."

"NewEgg.com is the best computer Store anybody can use in the USA.. I have been purchasing computer parts for the past 12 years.. And I have yet to find an issue with Newegg. Their shipping method is VERY FAST!!!.. Their customer support top of the line (nowadays is very difficult to find a good customer support specially with those automated services, but NEWEGG has the best Customer Support) Even if the issue of your product has to do with the Manufacturer they will go ahead and help you as much as they can!!..
MY ONLY PROBLEM IN THE PAST 12 YEARS:
“Thank you very much for taking the time to review my issue.. Let me start by explaining why last night I almost got a Triple-Stroke due to the frustration from not being able to do anything with this motherboard. At the end of Nov-2012 I bought this motherboard, It was supposed to be the best of those 1155 chipsets... When I finally got the motherboard It was not able to read my CPU and my Memory, So I ended up calling EVGA for support, they ended up shipping me a brand new BIOS CHIP with the latest information so the motherboard would be able to read my CPU and Memory.. After 2 weeks I get the chip, I put the Computer together but within a month the motherboard started failing again.. I called EVGA Support AGAIN... Just to find out that the new BIOS Chip... Did not have the right bios and it need it to update the bios AGAIN... This issue fixed something but it open another issue, I called EVGA again where my computer rebooted so many times, and they told me that it was probably driver within the Operating System, probably the SATA Controller and I AGAIN went ahead downloaded all controllers, I even updated the FIRMWARE of the hard drives to see if this was the issue.. And the computer just kept crashing and crashing... So I gave up on it for a couple of months, two weeks ago I decided that I was going to try-it again... And the god-dam motherboard just kept failing and failing... And EVGAs answer all the time was “We will send you a REFURBISH ONE to fix the issue that you have” What the hell is wrong with this company I HATE IT... I have been a new egg customer purchase thousands of dollars in computer parts... and never had issues... IF EVGA fails to give me a working product how can you guys help me? Is it possible to get a discount to purchase another motherboard? PLEASE HELP ME...

"I've been doing business with NewEgg since they started business 20 plus years ago.....

Over that time span they have consistently had the best pricing,the best customer service and the best on time delivery....

While that information is critical what is more important is what happens when a product is defective.....

No matter where you buy you will occasionaly run into this problem and I can tell you that, NewEgg, as a company stands behind what it sells and will go to the nth degree to make sure that they keep you as a satisfied customer !!!!

"I ordered Rosewill PCI usb 2.0 card however I had only PCI-Express slot in my machine so that wont fit. Contacted customer service to ask for RMA and they gladly said they will credit the amount as customer courtesy service instead of returning and that hassle. What a customer oriented company NEWEGG is. I really appreciate their bussiness and focus on helping customers. Love to buy more items."

"A great company to do business with. Prices are great and shipping is usually free. Any problems I've had with the (rarely) defective item I've gotten was handled quickly and with little fuss. Missed an e-mail in my zeal to buy new computer parts for my recently dead machine and was issued a gift card for the promotional codes to compensate. Customer services replies very quickly typically. Be sure to read the fine print and fully read and understand the return polices BEFORE purchasing and you'll have a great shopping experience. My go-to for all my computer needs."

"Ronald did a great job of customer service. Newegg policy would not allow me to return a defective item, but Ronald came up with a solution that was actually better, in my opinion, than a return would have been. I have been very impressed by Newegg's speed of fulfillment, quality of products and customer service. Keep up the good work."

"Purchase a lot of computer parts from newegg always been happy with the selection and prices. Outstanding photo's of the product I'm purchasing, detailed specs, and reviews from others that I can generally trust. Best place on the web for computer parts purchases. Recently had to return products because it they didn't work for me. The online RMA was going to charge restocking fee, but given I had not opened them, I called and got it waived -- excellent customer service!"

"Simply Amazing! There was a mishap in communication with my girlfriend, where she ordered the same exact part as I did. With a call Bessy told me that the RMA that I was first issued was an error and refunded me the restocking fee and sent me a UPS shipping label! So now I'm getting a full refund instead of having to spend on a restocking fee and paying for shipping. All of that given with personal help, she emailed me with her work email and took personal care. I have never been taken care of so well by any other company. NewEgg always presents top notch customer care and is the epitome of what other companies strive to be ! "

"I never thought I'd have to write type of post.

I'm an enthusiast and a PC builder and have relied on NewEgg and have never had an issue even with their RMA process.

--- STORY ---

Last week of April I was working on a build for a coworker. I had pieced a system together on Newegg and he bought all the parts and gave me to build.

I put the motherboard (Asus Maximus V Gene) on my test bench and plugged in two sticks of RAM into slots 2 and 4 (for dual channel). No post, and it was giving me an ERROR 55. I looked it up on the manual and it was related to memory. I tried slots 1 & 2, still no post. I went through every possible combination until I arrived at 3 or 4 or 3 & 4 and it finally posted. I used 3 other matched memory sticks (from Corsair, G.Skill and Samsung). All did the same thing, so I knew it wasn't the memory.

I concluded that the board had a bad DIMM 1 and 2.

So I said okay, packed the thing up and told my coworker to file an RMA under his account. Everything was going as smoothly as they can go for a bad situation (this was his first build and already had a sour taste in his mouth for custom building). We sent the board back on a Friday (5/3/13). UPS took an entire week for ground shipping. It arrived on that Friday (5/10/13) but was not processed through RMA.

It is now Tuesday (5/14/13) and I just got off the phone with a CS Rep (Roland) and a Supervisor (Gabrielle). I am mentioning their names because they are all part of this pending case. They both told me the same thing. It went through Level 1 inspections and they found damage; bent CPU pins. I'm like how can they be bent, I had it booting and running no issues other than the memory, and now suddenly the pins are bent? Now I've done some retarded things when I started building computers but nowadays its a simple process.. hell there's notches on the CPU that you can't even put it in wrong.

Anyway, Gabrielle would not budge, and he kept reiterating that they cannot send it back to the manufacturer with such a defect. I told him well obviously, but that wasn't the reason I sent back the motherboard for and the computer was booting fine and it went straight to the box after it was disassembled. He simply told me that all they can do is wait for the pictures to come back, and if it is damaged then I'm SOL and that they will send the board back and I can check out the damage myself.

At this point there's really nothing I can do but wait for the supposed pictures of the damage.

My recommendation is from now on if you decide to order from Newegg and you have the unfortunate ordeal of having to RMA a board, make sure to take pictures (with timestamps or some way to show a valid time signature) and make sure to document everything.

I'm not saying I'm a perfect builder, but this is somewhat absurd. I'll update this post if Newegg ever gets back to me. Otherwise, I'm thinking of moving my business elsewhere.

"I've been a Newegg customer since June of 2001. Since then, I've placed over 100 orders on newegg.com (roughly $30,000 of merchandise), and I've always been impressed with Newegg's selection, prices, and delivery speed. Over the past 12 years, I'm sure I've been one of Newegg's biggest evangelists—recommending them to family, friends, even strangers on the internet through communities like Fatwallet, Reddit, and my own blog.

I've had pretty good luck with the products that I've ordered. I don't think I've ever needed to deal with Newegg customer service to process an RMA until a couple weeks ago. I've always assumed that Newegg had excellent customer service, but I'd never had a reason to experience it for myself. Unfortunately, my encounter with Newegg's customer support was far from excellent. In fact, it was horrible enough to ensure that I never do business with Newegg again.

My account of the events is somewhat lengthy, but I hope you'll bear with me.

On April 1st, I placed an order for three video cards and some other hardware. A few weeks later on April 22, I placed an order for 3 additional video cards (same make/model). Aside from one video card with a fan stuck at 100%, all of them worked fine for about a week. Then on April 30th, one of the cards died. I immediately opened up an RMA request on newegg.com for two video cards: the dead one, and the one with the fan stuck at 100% (I wouldn't have bothered if this was the only issue, but as long as I was sending one back anyway, I thought I'd get it replaced).

My first surprise was that newegg.com expected me to pay for return shipping. I placed both orders with a Shoprunner membership, which supposedly entitles me to free return shipping. Only after a couple days of back-and-forth did Newegg finally agree to send me a pre-paid UPS return label, but the customer service rep made it sound like this was done as a favor to me—when my Shoprunner membership clearly states that this is one of my benefits.

My second surprise was when Newegg absolutely adamantly refused to cross-ship replacements. I offered to let Newegg charge my credit card for the two replacement video cards, and then simply credit it when they received and examined my defective merchandise. No, absolutely not, I was told over and over. I was expected to wait a week while my shipment crossed the country, then wait another 2-3 days for Newegg to examine and process my RMA, and then wait for the replacement shipment to reach me. Telling a customer that their only option is to wait 2-3 weeks to get over $600 worth of merchandise replaced is simply not competitive today. I finally got a CSR agree to waive the restocking fee and treat my RMA as a return, so I could simply just place another order for two new video cards immediately, which I did. Honestly, that really isn't any different from what I originally asked for (an immediately cross shipment with my credit card used to secure the replacements until my defective merchandise was received back at Newegg). Why did I have to waste 3-4 days going back and forth with CSRs, arguing semantics, to get that accomplished?

If the story ended there, I probably would have continued using Newegg, with the understanding that on the small chance that I needed customer service again in the future, it might be another exercise in frustration. But the story doesn't end there, unfortunately.

This past Friday (May 10), I received an email from Newegg's RMA department that stated they had received my shipment of the two defective video cards. But they're refusing to process the return because they're claiming that items are missing, including two promotional game vouchers that were included with the cards. I obviously have no way to prove this, but I actually taped the vouchers to the outside of one of the video card boxes to make absolutely certain that they wouldn't be missed. I'm 100% certain that they were in the box. So I sent an email back to Newegg asking them to please inspect the box again, and asked for clarification on the other missing item (a power cable?).

I sent my email less than one hour after receiving the email from Newegg on May 10. I even copied the Newegg customer service email address that I had corresponded with when setting up the RMA return. I received an auto-response immediately that said to expect a response within 24 hours.

When 24 hours passed without a response from Newegg, I forwarded my reply back to the RMA address (again copying customer service). Again I got an auto-response claiming a 24 hour timeframe for a response, and again 24 hours came and went without one.

So after 72 hours, I sent a third email. Surprise! No response.

It's now been nearly 4 days without a response from Newegg—from either the RMA email address, or the customer service address. This isn't customer service. I cannot believe the amount of time that I've wasted trying to get a simple return processed. Not only has Newegg wasted a tremendous amount of my time and caused me a considerable amount of frustration, but they're also holding my money, and it sounds like they lost or stole the game vouchers that I sent back to them. This has been the absolute worst experience as a customer in my life, hands down."
