"I paid ebattery $79 on 11/25/08 via an online order to replace the battery cells for my hp 3 year old laptop. They immediately sent me a pre-paid overnight package to send them the battery. After not receiving anything from e-battery by 1/15/09, I called them and was told that my battery cells were on back-order and it would take a couple of weeks to complete my order. As of 2/23/09 I had not received my battery or any information regarding the status of my battey. Attempts to contact the company resulted in finding that the phone numbers I had for ebattery were no longer in service nor were the many other numbers I found for ebattery online. The one active number I could find only had a recorded messgage about their hours of operation. I got this message during the hours of operation. I filed a claim on with the California Better Business Bureau on 2/25/09. On 3/6/09, ebattery returned my battery. However, the battery is in the same condition as when I sent it in November 2008. ebattery has not refunded my $79. "
"Tried to get an update on my order today. All the company numbers have been disconnected. Last week I finally was able to talk to a live person and was told my order would be shipped Priority Mail on Thursday. Now, I doubt I'll ever see my battery again. I did find several websites with warnings about this company. It appears they are out of business for good."
"I needed a new battery for my 6yr old laptop. I checked everywhere but nobody sells at reasonable price. I found one guy sells it for $189. With that much money, I rather buy a new laptop. I decided to try refill service. It worked out great for me. I am happy with this company’s service. "
"Purchased a refill service through Ebay. After two months and 4 emails, they have yet to respond or to send my battery. Paypal says that it is after their "magic" 45 day period, so it looks like I'm out $109. Something has happened to this company recently because they provided good service to a friend of mine two years ago. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. THEY ARE CROOKS NOW."
"I sent my battery for a Sony Vaio laptop (purchased 4/2002) in December. They were the type that were recalled due to overheating, but mine weren't recalled. I contacted them a few months later, and they said there was a short delay. I lost track of it, because I bought a new laptop in April. I didn't realize until now that they had charged my credit card already. I contacted them about my battery and they said they would send "one of their own(?)" right away - never received anything. Still trying to contact them now that I have found my email and my charge card charge. Very unsatisfied - based on seeing what everyone has been through."
"People, I am feeling your pain. Just about every complaint I have read is exactly what I have experienced. I will keep this short. The only way we are going to get any results is to hit this company Ebattery in the pocket book. We need to put them under. Here is what I did. I made the purchase through paypal so that is where I started. I searched the PP website for my transaction ID number. I did not find it. I called PP and was told that when you send money it does not give you a Transaction ID number unless you are signed on to your account. Word to the wise, if you are going to sned money sign on. SO if you staring at the PP home page and you click on sned money be sure you are logged in. Nuf said. Because I did not have a transaction ID number I open a "non receipt case". This does not garuntee you will get your money back. What it does is place a hold on ebatteries account for the amount of the refund which PP said would make them more inclined to pay. In addition if PP gets enough of these complaints ebattery says goodbye to there PP account. I then spent the time and made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I think I spent about 10 min filling out the form online. Not sure what to expect from that. PS that are rated an F company. Shame on me for not checking. I then hit a home run by contacting my credit card company. This will take no more that ten minutes, 5 if you don't bs with the person on the other end of the phone. Again the credit card company gets enough complaints, there goes that option to pay and it hits them where it counts. What I cant understand is how come this company does not get shut down. Most frustrating doing business with them. Out of the hundreds of online and over the phone transactions I have made I never wanted to punch anyone in the throat before I called ebattery. If you have had any reservations please do not call these people there are other options. Keep googling them. "
"To reiterate what dchanin said, I have had the same problem as him, they have my battery, since oct 4th. I have a confirmation email to prove it. I though have received NO replys to my many emails and phone calls. Their automated answering service is a joke. I am not Happy with these folks. A paypal dispute has been opened. I am escalating the dispute if my dispute isn't addressed by them. They still have my battery though, and its for a Amrel Rocky RT 686 EX Laptop, and those are rare batteries to find. I wouldn't recommend them. "
"It has been two months and "Battery Refill" aka eBattery has not returned my battery. They lie to me and tell me the work is done. They have stopped answering their phone. I have repeatedly asked for a refund and for a return of my battery and I get no response. They have done the same to my mother who ordered at the same time."
"This company is the absolute worst I have ever tried to buy PC hardware from. Their website said they had a refurbished Panasonic CF50 battery available and they would ship it out and I could return the old one in a supplied return package. I paid them by PayPal but they never sent me any order acknowldgement! I made up the invoice number because they never sent me one! Also, they never answer the phone, call back after voicemails or reply to emails. Two weeks after they had been ignoring my emails and phone calls they called to tell me that they had obtained a battery to send me. I told them it was too late and they should have replied to me earlier. I told them I mno longer needed this battery and wanted a refund. The man kept pestering me asking where I had found one and "how much it cost." I refused to answer the irreleavant questions and reiterated that since they had sent me nothing and not replied to my inquires, I wanted to cancel the order and wanted a full refund. That was 3 weeks ago. When I looged in to my PayPal account, I was flabbergasted to find that they had not issued me the refund. SO i initiated a PayPal dispute and PayPlal is giving them until December 8 to reply to my dispute claiming non-receipt. Don't SEND THEM YOUR MONEY! They are not honest. They should have refunded my money three wekes ago and because they failed to do so I have to wait and see if PayPal will refund my money."
