"Buyer beware! This company operates like a con artist. I placed an order which they call back to confirm this order. While they got me on the line, they high pressured me to buy other stuff. My mistake ( I know that now, too late)was agreed to the additional purchases. Adam quoted me the total price, but when I received the package, the invoice inside was charged $50.00 more than was quoted. I call and call and all I got was getting switched around to a dead phones(keeps ringing but one one answers phone). I'll never ever buy anything from this company or its affilates, never again. They won't email you the total price but give it just verbally. Thus, no evidence which my credit card company must have to dispute price charged. A total loss."
"I ordered a Nikon D40 through bestpricecameras.com then read the reviews here and decided to cancel. 7/22/07 was a Sunday and they said their customer service wasn't available until Monday. So I called back Monday and they said they couldn't cancel it cause it was in shipping. HUH?
The shipments don't leave your warehouse until 4pm according to the other service guy and I was calling at noon.
They told me they'd just ship it and I could return it. I told them I wouldn't pay restocking or reshipping as they had enough notice. They said no problem.
They charged my card and as of today, 8/10/07 I STILL haven't seen my D40.
Fortunately for me, I immediately called to dispute the charge on 7/22 and Visa saw to it that I was reimbursed.
These online camera stores aren't like other stores. They are filled with liars and con-men. Do yourself a favor, use a reputable retailer. Someone that is an authorized dealer who won't try to sell you gray market goods or charge you $200 for a battery and charger.
"This operation is a total scam. They had 575 complaints with BBB as of 7/24/07 (and they are not even a member of BBB) see http://www.bbbnewyork.org/reports/businessreports.aspx?id=12668 Their scam is working in two typical ways. They lure you by a low price. When you buy a product they call you back and tell you that the product does not come with the batteries, charger, etc. (liars) and you have to pay extra. The second way is if you did not buy any of their overpriced accessories and bought only cheap main product, they email you stating that the product is out of stock.
Mr. Joey Saideh, who runs the operation is also running it under the names: Best Stop Camera Century 21 Digital EBuys Hello Camera Infiniti Cameras Infiniti Photo Infinity Cameras J&K Cameras, Inc. Mr. Accessory Regency Camera Regency Photo & Video, Inc. "

"I gave them the benefit of doubt but what I got was switch and bait. Dont bother ordering online, they will ask you to call anyway. HDR-SR8 price was listed for $849. Ordered it online in the morning so I was expecting it be processed the same day. Got email confirmation the next day asking to call a person named Ken. Called Ken on # provided in the email. Was asked that I need to buy a retail version for $1299. There never was any indication that there are 2 products ie retail or non-retail version. Obviously its a scam and false advertising. Sad that the government is not taking action.
And yeah! Got the conversation recorded (^_^)"

"STAY AWAY FROM BESTPRICECAMERAS.COM! They called the next day to comfirm the order for a Nikon camera, and, then they tried to sell $350 worth of batteries and chargers. They said the camera did not include a power supply! At that point I knew what was up. I declined as it would exceed my credit limit. He bagan to talk down to me like his child. He also informed me that the order would take 6-8 weeks. I got pretty p.o.'ed and ended the call. I called back later to cancel the order and they refused to cancel the order! He wanted to know why? I told him "I dont like you". He then wanted to know why, as if we were lovers or something! I had to call the bank and get a new CreditCard number. THESE GUYS ARE MEAN, AND, I DON'T BELIEVE THEY WISH TO SELL ANYTHING. I AM SUSPICIOUS AS TO EXACTLY WHAT THEIR INTENTIONS ARE! STAY FAR AWAY! "
"I ordered a nikon D80 package on line. the sales person called me trhree days later to confirm my order and to ask me if I would like to purchase a battery and charger for the camera. I told him I had several batteries that would work for this camera. I then was told that I needed to purchase a special battery that was seiral numbered to the camera. I told the guy to cancel my order and then the fun began. He wouldnt take no for an answer. I told him to cancel my f cking order. he then go rude calling me several times back to harras me. I did latrer check with Nikon and they told me that any batter for the camera would work and no serial numbered batteries existed. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FORM THESE SCUM BAIT AND SWITCH A HOLES"
"Bait and switch masters. I ordered the canon ef 24 70mm. You then get an email to call and confirm. After that, they send you en email saying the product is out of stock. They wanted to sell me a Sigma lense instead. If you don't buy a warranty or additional item that rack up the price, they won't sell you what you ordered."
"I would never buy from this company again. I did not get what I paid for and could get no where with over 50 calls and e-mails to them. I was shuffled around to severy different people, that is when I could get thru to them. Calls went unreturned as did e-mail's. I ordered an item and was upgraded to the pro package which I did not object to but did not get the package. Instead I got the smaller package which was approx. $200.00 less, the items I was quated a price for I found on the internet and BestBuy for a fraction of what I was charged. This could go on and on. I am in the process of starting legal action as well as reporting this company to my state Attorney general as well as the New York Attorney General and the BBB. I am also notifiying my credit card company of the disgracful way this compay operates. Buyers please beleary of any dealings with them. I went by their high ratings on the internate which was a mistake on my part."
