"Made an online purchase that I needed to cancel prior to pickup. Was treated very rudely in the store and told I had to deal with it online if that's where I purchased it. No online cancellation possible. Had to call, listen to their ads for nearly 5 minutes, then I got someone who could help me. She was very nice, but now I don't get my card credited for a week, even though I never even picked up the product."

"Best Buy lost a good customer. In January I went to return a Xoom for an IPad that I received for Christmas from my husband. At that time I found out that he purchased it during the summer and it was too late to return it. Go figure my husband would buy a gift before Christmas Eve. So I'm stuck with a Xoom and all my other electronics are Apple, iphone, ipod.I've purchased all appliances, all electronics for my house totaling over $15K and they loose a customer for $500. Go figure"

"A terrible place to do business. They are misleading, deceptive and inefficient.
Experience # 1: some years ago There was an issue with my motherboard in my desk top. I took it to the Geek Squad for repairs and was told that it cannot be fixed I need to purchase a new computer. Some one overheard the conversation and whispered to me to try Fry's Electronics. I went to Fry's and had my computer fixed in a few hours.
Experience # 2: Last Christmas I purchased a LCD tv on line and chose "in store pick up." Soon after ia received an email stating my order was ready for pick up. I drove to the store and was told at customer service that the tv was not at the "pick up" section. Their system said that there was one available so associate went in backs to retrieve. After an hours wait I was told that they did not have any. I kept receiving the "your order is ready for pick up" email yet each time I called the store the tv was not there.
Experience # 3: a few weeks ago I went to buy a lap top. An associate recommeded one that he said was super fast. I got home and realized that it was any thing BUT super fast. I called about returning the lap top and was told that I could return it but the Microsoft Office pack that I purchased was non refundable but, I was told they can give me a new product key to use on another computer. I returned the computer and regarding the Microsoft Office I was now told that I can still use it on my new computer-total erroneous information. I tried and MS would not allow it so I'm out over $100.00."

"Very disappointed. Salespersons cheerfully mislead you, ie. warranty for Apple iPads sold by them only valid in US and you need their own US$ 129 guarantee to protect purchase. Complete lie since iPads come with a one-year international Apple warranty. Also sold already opened, damaged Logitech keyboard for iPad, which happened, in the bargain, to be much more expensive than in the UK, where prices are supposedly inflated compared to the US. Avoid if them and their duplicitous NYC city staff!"

"UPDATE from happier customer. My original post "Best Buy refuses to honor its free installation promise - forcing the consumer to pay for additional parts and labor in violation of Consumer Protection Act. Best Buy managers are rude and refuse to discuss the matter civilly, hanging up on consumers who choose to persue their legal remedies. " Next morning: I contacted a different manager and he was polite, and accommodating. He had a plumber out to connect the gas range at their expense within an hour. I also received a follow up call to be sure I was happy. I am pleased now. "

"Reward Zone Policies STINK!!! I purchased a Big screen TV at Christmas time. My Rewards Zone points didn't show up in Dec. Called customer service in Jan. was told it may take up to 30 days for them to show. Feb I checked again, still not there. Now I get this error "E150: Sorry. This transaction is more than 90 days old and is no longer eligible for redemption." WTF?!? They were never made available! I would have bought my TV elsewhere if it weren’t for the promise of a reward for my purchase. What a SCAM. Good bye for good Best Buy."

"The sales people here are terrible. I chose a computer and just needed someone to get one out for me to purchase, and it took almost 45 minutes for this to be able to happen.

It shouldn't be so difficult to exchange money for goods."

"I shopped for a GPS unit on you website. The price for my selected unit was $149.00. Rather than check out online and do a store pickup, I went directly to the store because I wanted to browse and select accessories so I thought it would be easier to check out one time. When I did so, I discovered that the in-store price for the GPS was $20.00 more than the online price. They offered to match the price if I went to customer service, but that is not the point. If I had not checked the web before going to the store, I would have been out $20.00. I did not buy the GPS. I'll go across the street to HH Gregg. They do price matching, so I'll get the GPS for $149.00 there. You've lost a good customer in me. I am a premier Reward Zone member, but unless you change your practice and post the web prices in your store, I will no longer make Best Buy my first stop. The store manager said the price is different because the store has overhead and the web does not. That argument stands on clay because it costs the store more in overhead to have me pay for it online and pick it up in the store. Get your act together."
