"I ordered from AJMadison this summer. I too was a bit concerned with some of the negative reviews, but overall, but after speaking to their customer service a few times, they made me feel comfortable with making the order. I'm glad I did.

First of all, best price, no sales tax, free shipping and good rebates. This made it a great value. But I was also glad to find out that it was backed up by good customer service. Solomon was my agent and he always a good job getting me the information that I needed. At one point, there was a mix up in my order (it was when I had a different agent who wasn't familiar with my order make an addition to my order) and the rebate eliminated from my invoice. When I realized this, I called AJMadison, and the customer service looked into it, assured me that they'd take care of it, and within an hour, I got an email with the updated and corrected invoice.

My only complaint with their customer service is that at times their hold times can be a bit long.

Shipping was good. It was as they said it was. It could have been detailed and tracked a bit better on their website, but all in all, they told me a date when it would ship, and it did.

I appreciate the service that AJMadison offered me. Great product at a great price with good service. Highly recommended.

"I too orderded from AJ Madison and was worried after reading the reviews. I worried for nothing. This transaction was perfect from start to finish. My salesman, Victor was friendly and helpful. The guys from AM Home Delivery were friendly and accommadating. When Victor told me on Sept 5th (Labor Day) that my gas range would arrive on the 7th I thought not really, but it's a great price. IT DID! I can't say enough about this purchase. I would definately purchase from and recommand AJ Madison and hope the delivery is from AM Home Delivery."

"We bought an Elkay kitchen sink and Broan range hood from AJ Madison. They had the best price on these items with free shipping. We had to wait almost 4 weeks before the order shipped, but after that everything was fine. The items arrived in pristine condition with hardly a scratch on the shipping boxes. Thankfully we were not in a hurry to get these items while the kitchen was being gutted."

"Well... I placed order on Sunday. Then I read the reviews of the store.

On Monday I received the following status update: "...As per LG, the Washer that you ordered is scheduled to be released in the third week of September. It is currently on nationwide backorder with LG. The manufacturer only releases products, when production is completed. This particular model has been delayed in production, which caused it to be delayed in shipment. Unfortunately, this is something that we do not have control over...."

After reading the reviews I called and canceled the order. And yes, I thought that if you place something on the website it means you have it in stock, like Home Depot or Best Buy. Yet, I guess AJ Madison does not think like I do... "

"I wish I had read the reviews about this store before I made the mistake of purchasing from them. I was too busy reading reviews about the washer/dryer I was interested in that I didn't think to look up the store itself. I am writing this so no one makes the same mistake I made.

I purchased a Speed Queen stackable washer dryer and once it was installed and ran the first load of laundry, there was a loud tapping noise in the final spin cycle. I called the store who said I had to call Speed Queen. Speed Queen gave me the number for the third party warranty company. The warranty company recommended an authorized repair service in my area.

The tech repair man who came was wonderful and very truthful, he told me he worked for the repair company for 37 years. He said the machine had bad ball bearings from the factory and his company does not even replace bad bearings because it is a difficult job and he said it would give me lots of problems in the future. He recommended that I contact the store to get the machine exchanged, it was a lemon. That's when the problems began.

The customer service people at AJ Madison keep juggling me around, no one would let me speak to the customer service supervisor, they kept promising me a call back and they never called back, I had to keep calling them. Then one evening they sent an email saying that Speed Queen said the repair was done and fixed!

Nothing had been done. The sales guy who seemed nice, said he'd transfer me to the supervisor, and we got disconnected. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that it could have been accidental, but when I called back, the customer service rep did the same thing!!
After the 3rd day, I just called American Express to intervene as I realized I was going nowhere fast with these people.

The issue is still not resolved, but at least the charge has been removed from my Am Ex card. I will report back when all is resolved. I hope Am Ex does the right thing, I think they will. But stay away from AJ MADISON and spare yourself the grief in case you have an issue with the merchandise.

""This was advertised as in stock. After waiting a week for tracking # I called. Told it would ship immediately. Still no tracking # and no ac. By third call I was upset. They explained that LG had in stock and was direct ship from them(not my idea of " in stock"). It took 10 days to leave NY and two more to arrive.
Circuit board had short and I had to call for warranty parts. Again 3 calls to AJ customer service.. Right now it has been over 35 days from original order date and I'm waiting to find out where overnight shipment from two days ago has gone. Cuts service had me on hold for 29 minutes, had no answer for me, and will email me info later today.
For the record we have had over 90 degree temps all but one day this has been going on. The rest of job is finished and client still has no A/C.
I cannot imagine ordering ever again from AJ Maddison ever again. I will have someone local match price.
If you order use Amex so you can put pressure on them by disputing order if this happens to you.""

"I would like to commend Mindy for handling a customer service issue. She was extremely courteous & efficient. Previously, another person assisted me & was also very courteous & efficient but I do not recall her name. AJ Madison is wonderful, not only for their prices but for their follow-up with any issue that might occur. I have recommended AJ Madison to numerous friends & neighbors.

"We waited almost 6 weeks, when we were supposed to have it in two, for a bar sink to be shipped to us. I spent many hours on the phone with costomer services and various managers, who wouldn't call back, and we STILL never received the sink. They told me it was processing. Then that it had shipped. Then that it hadn't shipped. The answer that they gave me every time I called was that I would have it in the next few days. Finally, I gave up and actullay found it cheaper from another seller and am suppoed to have the sink in the next two days. I would NEVER order from this company again."
