"I was placing an order on a pair of shoes they have in stock. However, when I put in my credit card information and was ready to check, their website informed me that the pair of shoes I was buying was out of stock. So I didn't buy it and was sure that I didn't confirm ordering anything.
Now here's where it gets icky. Zappos CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD ANYWAY, even when their product was out of stock and there was no way that I could confirm ordering it. Thankfully my bank stopped Zappos from taking my money since, according to my bank, it behaves like a scam. Be careful, I just can't trust Zappos anymore."
"I miss the old zappos! Ever since they redid their wearhouse it has not been the same! They said intially it would just be the first few weeks till they got it sorted it out. Now 2 months later and still not the same great zappos. I used to order things last minute present things I needed for a trip and get them overnight. now an order i placed took 6 days to get to me! Another simple order of two items took 3. Of my last 11 orders only one has come the usually zappos way. If its not broke dont fix it. I have started shopping at nordstroms I am getting free two day shipping and it comes usually quicker. How I miss the old zappos ."
"Great customer service, easy return and exchange. VERY PERSONABLE staff that are very easy to reach on the phone. I even received a personally handcrafted holiday card from the customer service rep after she processed my return. Competent business, good people. American jobs."
"Zappos may not always have the absolute cheapest prices, but when time is short and you aren't sure what size you need, Zappos offers lightening fast shipping and a hassle free, postage paid return option. You can't ask for more in a "Oh no! I need shoes and a clutch to complete this ensemble and there aren't any available locally that I like!" situation :) "
"My experience with Zappos doesn't concern an order I placed, but one someone placed using my credit card info. Some way or another my visa information was stolen and the crook went on an online shopping spree. Zappos was the only company that held the order before charging my card because it was suspicious. They also attempted to contact me and my credit card issuer. I can't comment on their products or shipping speed, but I consider that excellent customer service."
"Great place to order shoes from. On time delivery, if not earlier in my case. I loved the shoes I purchased, but not the color. Returning it was very easy, and the processing time was fast as well. Definitely plan on buying the right color this time with using store credit. Zappos is just awesome and easy."
"Zappos return policy has changed considerably. It takes eons for the return shoes to get back to Zappos (one week), then they hold onto the product for a couple more days, then they tell you they have credited your credit card, but that it will take up to 10 days for the credit to appear. We all know that credits appear instantly anywhere else you shop. So, you may think you are getting free shipping, but they hold onto your money for a long time. I have several pairs of shoes I have returned, and am being held captive by Zappos for the credit. Won't use them again."
"Don't get "zapped" by zappos current con game. They will take your order cheerfully, guarantee and reassure you that you will be getting the order on time (in my case, gifts to give mom on her birthday). Then, once they get the order, you will not see it for who knows how long, even if they offered one day shipping. When you call to find out what's going on, they will act like they haven't got a clue, offer you a discount coupon and leave you still guessing when you will ever get your order. They will also send you an email saying "oops" we didn't send it out on time and like just hang in there, we will get it to you some day - when that is, is anybody's guess. There was a glitch in our new computer system. Oops! Oh well, better luck next time! Don't be fooled...dont get ZAPPED! Shop elsewhere - there are plenty of competitors and with better prices."
"I had heard so many good things about Zappos, but after my experience with my first order from them, I am shocked that people would even say positive things about the company. I wanted to wear the boots I ordered on my birthday on Wednesday the 28th so I ordered these shoes on a Tuesday. With the free standard shipping option they were SUPPOSED to come the Monday before my birthday on the 26th. When I did not receive an email by Thursday saying that the shoes had left the warehouse I thought it was a little strange so I emailed customer service. It turns out that there was a glitch in the new computer system or something that I was unaware of when I placed my order so my shoes DID NOT EVEN SHIP UNTIL THE 26th. Zappos refused to upgrade my shipping to overnight shipping even though I sent them multiple emails explaining my situation. They just kept saying that standard shipping is the option that I chose during checkout and they can't change it now blah blah blah here is membership to our VIP program and coupons for your NEXT order. This really pissed me off because honestly, what makes you think that I would I want to order off of you after this? And then they sent me this email saying that the shoes would be here on the 27th but the tracking for my order said they would arrive on the 29th so the customer service rep was like "oh we were unaware of the update". WHEN MY SHOES FINALLY CAME ON THE 29TH THEY SENT ME TWO DIFFERENT SIZES. So I had to email them for the TWELFTH time and thankfully they sent out a new pair of boots quickly. I got them today, after placing my order nearly two weeks ago. If I had known what horrible service I was going to get, then I never would have ordered from Zappos in the first place."
"evidently, zappos is currently having some major issues shipping and tracking orders. my in-stock order, with extra paid 3-day delivery is now on it's eleventh day and they still can't even give me a tracking number. to their credit, they given back the shipping charges, upgraded me to "vip" (one day shipping at no charge) and two $25 discount coupons on future orders. what future orders?? why would I ever?? they blame it on a mysterious "system update" that has affected over 100,000 orders. "

"I ordered my hunter rain boots on saturday at 2:39pm when i got home today Monday at 4:12 they were here waiting for me. How is this possible? and did i mention free shipping? wow zappos is truley amazing! also my return slip was inside with free shipping on my return if needed. but i love them and keeping them and ordering more shoes next paycheck.
