"I bought two 10" Air Pad X and the both units were defective, I wrote customer service who agreed to refund cash for the both items. I sent back the units and three days after they sent back the same two units with the same defects and told me if I sent it back I would have to cover 15% restocking fee. There products stinks and their customer service is even worst, as everyone who I contacted there seems like a idiotic fool."

"X10.com has to be the worst company I have dealt with in a long time.... I ordered something online and it took them 2 weeks to tell me that they had over sold the item. Paid with PayPal and they say it will take 30 days to get refund. Total BS with these people. Placing a phone calls to their WORTHLESS customer support is pointless as they are programmed to give you the run around. Just wish I would have read the stories here. "
"Wish I'd read all these reviews before ordering. Bought a wireless remote security camera. Found out once I got it that I had to go to other sites to download software to make it compatible with my Mac. Never said that in the product description. Spent over 1 1/2 hours with tech to walk me through it. FRUSTRATING. Instruction manual was in broken English...hard to decipher.Finally had enough and went on-line to get authorization to return it. Found out about the 15% restocking charge. I will NEVER buy from this company again. Bought other wireless stuff from smarthome.com...great experience. X10 is awful. "
"I am completely flabbergasted by the lack of customer service of x10.com. How are they still in business??? I have tried repeatedly by email to get someone from the company to advise if the software link they emailed to me and that I PAID FOR is compatible with Mac and I have gotten radio silence. I have been on hold for over 15 minutes and counting and no one is answering the phone. Who is running the shop over there??? At this point I just want to return this stuff and be done with x10. This is purely insane and ridiculous. Since I attempted to call to no avail and attempted to email to no avail, calling the credit card company and disputing the charge...I will return to sender the box of stuff I got."

"I should have paid attention to the warnings here and I suggest that you do too or you will regret it. I ordered 3 items through X10.com and got notification 5 hours later of shipment. I went to x10.com to get tracking that nothing shipped and that 2 items were unavailable. Canceled order and was told would get refund in 30 days. Ordered through Google and can't believe the ratings there even though seller blamed Google for order problems."
"Wow. It seems like I am not the only one having issues with X10.com. I ordered the IR/RF unit and upon receipt it was defective. I sent them an email explaining my conundrum and they asked me to return and it would be replaced (with shipping to be paid my me). I shipped it out in Dec 2011. We are approaching 3 months and I still have not received my replacement unit or heard anything back from them after sending 4 emails and trying "live" chat multiple time (no responses). I tried calling on two occasions and failed to reach a live person after 25+ minute waits. I now am out the money for the unit, shipping back, and am still without a IR/RF/IR unit to work by boxes from the other room. Unbelievable how this place is still in business. "
"I placed an order with X10 for items shown as being in stock. The day I ordered, X10 sent an email confirmation and accepted the funds from PayPal. After three weeks with no further contact from X10 I emailed customer support inquiring about the order. After five days with no reply I tried phoning, but gave up after a half hour on hold. I made contact on chat.The rep told me that the items were backordered and it would be a MINIMUM of 8 more weeks before shipment. Since they had taken my funds I decided to cancel the order rather than wait an indeterminate amount of time for the products. The rep told me it would take up to 45 days for them to process the refund. Legitimate online stores take the funds the day they ship. X10 takes funds for items they know they will not ship in a reasonable time, do not communicate this to hold the funds longer and hold them for up to 45 days after the customer finally gives up on receiving the products. They evidently show items as "in stock" when they aren't and don't program their system to advise you when ordering that they are taking the funds but will not be shipping the product. This appears to me to be a kiting scheme.The rep also said there was no way to return the funds and apply them again when the order was available for shipment. Perhaps I could cancel and reorder using a credit card rather than PayPal and the funds would not be taken until they had the items to ship. I asked for a manager's phone extension # so I could be sure I wouldn't be dealing with two outstanding charges and was told that managers did not have company extensions."
"I found my original review got wiped when I did the update below, but basically it said I experienced delayed shipping for an Airpad X after X10 charged my credit card. That was the first sign of a problem. I ended up returning a defective unit through an RMA. After making contact with X10 several times and in several different ways (phone, email, chat) I still didn't have my refund after 2 months of waiting. With every communication, I always got some lame excuse, and a line about getting the refund in "two weeks" (which never happened). I also requested to talk to a supervisor, which they refused to let me do. The following is an update: Just an update on my Airpad X refund from X10. I finally received my refund after telling the customer service rep on the phone yesterday that I guess the only way to get my refund would be to find out where they are and take a baseball bat down there and start busting heads. The refund is minus shipping (which I expected) but also minus a 15% restocking fee, which they said they would NOT be charging me when I called to get an RMA to return the item, which was clearly defective. I called within the allotted amount of time for the return, and the tablet was a piece of crap. So I got robbed of a total of $45.87. I could call and complain about the restocking fee, but after getting the run around for over two months just to get any kind of a refund, I'm sick and tired of dealing with these people, and I don't believe I would get the fee back anyway. So, I repeat, DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! Do not buy ANYTHING from them. You WILL be sorry. I guarantee it!!! They WILL rob you after selling you an inferior product, which they make you return at your own expense. If I could possibly minus stars with this review, I would. "

"I should have realized when I experienced poor customer service from their Live Chat feature that was my warning to stay far away from X10.com website. I placed an order on 12/17/11 for Airsight Wireless camera depicted on there website as suitable for outdoor use, not excatly (misleading adverstising). Shipping was good, after many attempts I finally got the camera to work within only 10ft of my router. So, I called the company and basicly was told my router was to blame. By now I'm very frustrated/disappointed with the lack of care, empathy and service response that these people have shown me. I boxed it up and tried reconnecting by using Live Chat again (bad idea), then email (a week went by with with no response) and finally after numerous long phone calls I finally get through to obtain a RMA request for full refund, mind you with an attitude to boot. Then the wait for RMA email continued which takes nearly a week or so to hit my email box, it finally arrives. In mean time the 21 day return policy window is quickly ticking away. Then I finally get a confirmation email on 1/4/12 that my return was received and email goes on to say that in order to get the upgrade camera that I wanted, I need to provide them with my CC to charge the difference, say what? Sounds like a bait/switch game to me. So you would think by know I would have my $$ back on CC? not so fast reader today 2/13/12, I'm still without my money and after multiply phone calls to see when is my refund credit going to be applied? I still got no satisfaction from customer service rep and the only response to my question when pressed again was there return policy has mysteriosly changed from 30 days now (they do not even play by there own rules) to 45 days to credit your CC. Folks this company is bad at the CORE, by far the WORST EXPEREINCE I'VE WITNESSED DEALING WITH ANY ONLINE MERCHANT. I SHOULD HAVE READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I COMMITTED TO THIS COMPANY. BUYER BEWARE!"
"I Purchased a security system for my home after about a week the door/ window chime went bad. They said once you send it back they will send you another one! So now the money you spent you will have to go without it until they get the orignal back they will send a new one , How much time will I now be without the alarm system that was just installed?Not to mention they are very hard to reach.Also the lamp module don't work and the key fobs don't either. I will not buy any of these products again. Take Notice!I ordered these items and received them 3 weeks ago they were out of stock at the time."
"They seem to be out of controle. Tghere are other places to buy most of this X-10 stuff.I ordered a CM15A usb pc controler for x-10 modules. They sent a CM15K insted. It is not even close to being the same product.(CM19 with a transciever module)Spent over an hour on hold to contact cust service. They told me the CM 15A had been discontinued. So why did the send me something thats not a replacement and why is it still listed and orderable on their website? They gave me an RMA to send it back for a refund because of their mistake (scam) but I have to pay shipping."
