"I have been very happy with my purchases from Woot. My purchases have ranged the spectrum from a Roomba to a mini kite! All items have shipped in a timely manner and I have been satisfied customer for over 2 years. "
"I have had great experience with Woot! I have order from them dozens of times both through Woot.com and shirt.woot.com. Although SmartPost can be unusually slow considering I live with 15 miles of woot headquarters I would recommend them to anyone."
"Awful. It took nearly a month to receive goods purchased. I made the purchase with nearly 3 weeks before I intended to give them as a gift and to my astonishment they did not make it in time! This day and age with so may exceptional e-retailers why would anyone continue to shop here? Not I. On top of that, no response to my customer service request."

"Advise people to approach Woot.com with studied caution. I am skeptical about them. The founder\owners present a story & image that raises suspicions in me, namely they say in one breath they are serious entrepreneurs and in the next they claim no profit from Woot and project an unreasonable future date they expect to be in the black.
I come from a family of self-made poverty (poor before welfare existed) to successful small business people. By choice, I hung with the adults from age 12. I learned from my aunts and uncles to suspect anyone who want you to believe they worked their tails off for perfect strangers. The "I jus wanna be your friend" con" they called it.
More than suspicion, I had 30 years experience as an informed consumer & consumer rights advocate. I've been researching Woot deal of the day items for a month now. Electronics is my main area of knowledge. I notice Woot picks brand name products that have an identified downside and Woot relies on something shoppers should view with caution, seemingly unregulated buyer reviews or comments.
Any retailer who had business savy & does their research knows that buyer product reviews or comments are powerful "sales boosters", even if some of the reviews are very negative. Why? Few buyers practice responsible review writing or posting, very few. Most, about 95%, post a review almost immediately after receiving a product, opening the box and seeing it shinny and unbroken. Few use the product and then form an opinion. Meg Ryan at eBay figured this out several years ago.
Woot has an added feature. They encourage a legal pyramid scheme retailer type (Mary Kay, Shakley, Amway) group hype to their buyer\member blog. Try to warn them about a product and they immediately fight you!
Here are some examples. A recent Sankdisk MP3 notorious for its one year life (non replaceable battery) & its difficulty to use was sold for a price lower than most retailers offer. This week Woot hyped a 32GB Kingston USB memory stick for a great price. It is notorious for being slow and for inconsistent performance. Sometimes Win XP, Vista, & Win & will not recognize it!
Try to caution members to research these items and you nearly get attacked by hyped up Woot members. If you want to buy things in a Price in Right Group Think tank be my guest but if you value your hard earned dollar, approach Woot.com with studied caution!
And hope you never need Woot customer service. There are mostly negative reports online about Woot customer service & Woot return actions.
UPDATE: I must alter my original view of Woot. I no longer suspect them of anything but trying to deliver both superior value and excellent customer service. My first experience with them caused me to be wary but after additional buys, all without mishap, I find Woot to be excellent. Woot is owned now by Amazon.com and I think I am seeing now Amazon's efficient shipping system at work. The original founders and owners still independently operate Woot, Amazon simply owns and infuses capital improvements.
Make sure you know your products before you decide to buy a particular item from Woot. On 1-22-2011, I bought a Phillips high speed 25' HDMI Cable for incredible price of $7.99 & $5.00 shipping. It arrived 2-1-2011, well within the Woot estimated dates."

"I've bought many things from woot and kids.woot and have been overall pleased with every item I've gotten (well, the woot monkeys did make me wanna bash my head against the wall, but that's what I get for giving screaming monkey toys to my kids). Order processing/shipping is a little slow, so I wouldn't recommend buying anything you're in a hurry for. But it's tough to beat a flat $5 shipping fee. I did have one experience (from a woot-off), where they didn't have enough of a toy car I'd ordered - they cancelled my order, but gave me $5 off a future purchase. This was fine with me - the car was an impulse buy anyway and there's always other toys to buy (which we did later) and getting $5 off something else was great because I knew I'd shop there again. Be sure to do your homework a bit on products, the write ups are for entertainment, not so much for information. I try to look up offered products on other sites before I make a decision. Woot-offs are such fun, but it's easy to get into a mob mentality and buy things just because they look good and you don't want them to sell out before you can get at them. I've missed a few things doing my homework, but it's still worth it to check specs before hitting "I want one" Overall, woot is awesome and I've found some great deals. I highly recommend this site! Oh, but if you see the BOC, don't buy it - I still need one! LOL"

"I have made nearly 100 purchases from Woot! in the past few years and have been exceptionally well pleased with this merchant. Their prices are the lowest on the internet and shipping is a flat $5 whether you buy 1, 2, or 3 items. For people unfamiliar with their site, it would be helpful to read other comments here or else read the "What is Woot!" section at their website as they are not a traditional merchant. They make it clear that at their prices you cannot expect to receive overnight delivery of a replacement product from a dedicated customer support representative. That being said, on the 2 occasions I have needed to contact them, their support has been exemplary."
"Ordered some things from their normal website as well as their shirts website. Shipping is quick, prices are great, and I get a lot of comments about the shirts that I buy there.
Overall a great company, that needs to be checked daily since they change their items daily. Very satisfied with each of the 4 orders I've put in with them."
"Ordered shirts, had to email twice about the wearabouts of these shirts that never shipped, finally got the response that I will get em sent when they reprint them since my size needs to be reprinted. Once reprinted, they will be shipped. Well, it has been about a month and a half now and they have not shipped...
If there is an issue with them sending out the orders, it seems the only way to get information is to hassle them for it. They are not proactive and post apologies or e-mail the customers without e-mailing them first."
"Woot! Best place in the world for random things! The t-shits are awesomely prices and the electronics deals can't be beaten if you happen to be in the market for that product.
I have only had 1 incident with Woot, and it panned out incredibly well. I bought shirts on random shirt day, as did my wife. The prices were listed at $10 each, which we thought was fine(even though it had been lower in the past). We both ordered 3 shirts and paid.
Woot decided that was a pricing mistake and credited us the difference, and threw in an extra shirt for free. The email from customer service about the matter is hard to describe (anyone who got the email knows what I mean).
Simple put, I wasn't even aware there was an issue and it turned into the best customer service experience I have had in years."
"I love this site and half my 20 year old son's shirts have come from Wootshirt.com. Quality is always as promised and prices can't be beat. I would and have referred friends and family to this site."
"Woot is a one deal a day store. Essentially they sell one item a day at an extremely low price. Shipping is free.
I've pretty satisfied with them and when they offer a product I need or want, it's at a great price. Shipping isn't very fast, but it's $5. For shirts shipping is free. They use FedEx SmartPost which is decent.
As with DOAs and such, I think many people don't understand that Woot only has so many items; they can't offer product exchanges because they don't have the inventory for it. They can't let people cancel orders because they can't relist products. It's now the system works. You're only suppose to buy no more than 3 of an item, so you can't buy more than once in an attempt to score a deal (and start you own business). That said, the one time I had an DOA, they gave me a refund when I asked about it nicely.
Woot is a great shop which offers excellent deals on days when I need or want the current item on sale.
I also love Woot-offs when they offer a small stock of each item and continuous refresh for a few days time."

"Woot's deals can't be beat. I love their new kids.woot.com too. One of my favorite moments was when I was walking down the street here in Seattle and someone came up to me and said "is that a Woot shirt?" - YES IT WAS. Woot rules. No problems with shipping or customer service, EVER. I remain a loyal Woot customer."
