"I purchased a Canon Rebel from Wolf Cameras via their Google connect on 16 December, a Saturday. After doing so I then read some of the negative experiences that occurred and was concerned about receiving my order on time. However, everything thing went very well as is was shipped on Monday, 18 December and arrived to me on 20 December. The only negative I have about them is that they, like many companies, resource their toll free numbers to India and it is hard to understand the people on the other end. IF not for that fact, it would be an EXCELLENT rating."

"Ordered a MP3 Player (in stock) via Google on dec 7th, I receive an Email from Google stating that it shipped. I called their sales support after receiving an email on the 12th that they didn't "forget" my order. At that time, I was told it would ship shortly. I get an email from Wolf on Dec 17th that the order was cancelled. So I would be VERY cautious about counting on any order arriving. They dont know what is and is not in stock. Order somewhere else !!"

"Notified 6 days after placing order that Sanus TV mount was now out of stock. Product has remained as listed in stock on their website. Oddly enough I told my friend about the "great deal" this was for the price, placed an order two days after me and received the mount. "

"On August 21, 2006, I got in line for the impossible-to-get Nikon 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF DX VR Lens at WolfCamera.com. Over the next day, I decided to change the credit card and shipping address. I inquired about changing the details, but because I ordered through Google Checkout, I was instructed by WolfCamera customer support to cancel the order and place it again with the new information.

I did so on August 23, 2006.

On September 4, 2006, I decided to check the status of the order via phone. While explaining the details to the customer representative, I suddenly get an e-mail informing me that my order of August 23, 2006 was cancelled per customer request. Very strange that I would get that while on the call.

The customer rep gave me the same notification that the e-mail did - it was cancelled. But I was given a different reason. I was told that Google thought it was a duplicate order and cancelled it. That was an odd reason since the e-mail stated that the customer requested the cancellation.

He said there was nothing he could do about it but will take the order over the phone. I asked if I could have my original place in line, knowing that there was a long wait in line but he said no. It would be losing over a week's worth of waiting time. I hung up without placing the order.

I replied to the second cancellation e-mail asking if the request to cancel came via e-mail or phone. The right answer is neither. Perhaps Wolf Camera is still looking for that answer or more likely they don't want my $739, because they still have not responded to my e-mail 4 days later.

Thanks to Wolf Camera, I went out looking some more and found the lens for a lower price at Roberts, who immediately informed me how far back in the line I was. Nice informative response.

Hmmm, next time I look for camera lens, do I go with a company that advises me to cancel an order and reorder, then cancels it and gives me two different reasons for its cancellation - because someone thought it was a duplicate order but also that I cancelled it when in actuality I didn't?"

"Ordered a Nikon D50 kit. Great price and they actually had it. Received it today and what a camera. It came as advertised and well packed. It took 5 days including a weekend to get to south florida. No problems, great service, website worked well and tracking info was easy.
Definitely will buy from them again.

"This was my first order from Wolf. I placed an order for a KM 5D DSLR around 11:30 AM on Friday and had a FedEx tracking number 2 hours later. I received the camera with free FedEx shipping in two business days. The communications, packing and shipping were super. Highly recommended."

"Gosh, where do I start. I have Wolf stores in my area and have always been very satisfied with the brick and mortar operations. I was trying to order a new Nikon D200 online and this is a nightmare. I was going to save a few bucks with their free shipping -- folks, it's not worth it.

First comes the emails saying your order is held up and you have to call to confirm. Then I call and after the expected conversation about accessories -- having made the brutal mistake of ordering the camera body only at the sale price, I was told that my credit card company had rejected the charge.

On to my credit card company who told me that the order had not been rejected by them at all -- everything is fine with my card and they would gladly accept the charge.

On I go back to Wolf, after a huge amount of time on hold I'm connected to an Indian woman who really can't communicate in English -- and I thought they spoke English in India. Eventually she hangs up on me.

Back to the 800 number and back in the long queue of music-on-hold. At the end of the long wait I got transfered to -- you guessed it -- dial tone!

I'm in the process of trying to cancel the order now and since D200s are back ordered and I didn't order the memory cards, lenses, cases, etc. I'm assuming this won't be a problem.

If you are expecting the same professional purchasing experience online as you have with your local Wolf or Ritz store you are surely in for a surprise!"

"I ordered a sweet A520 for my mother in-law. The camera was in stock, with a free printer after rebate. I saved a ton of cash shopping here and that's no bull. The service was decent all-in-all, the items shipped out on time. I am very happy with my wolf camera transaction and I woould shop here again for the right price."

"Still agreeing with my first comment of lack of usability and information for the web sight. Customer support is very exceptional, and respose time is great. My package arrived right on time and was only billed for the things sent, not for the items that were pre-ordered (not sent yet) A
And also recieved a "Have not forgoten your pre-ordered items thank you" e-mail. Very nice"

"I've read the posts by dissatisfied customers but I was willing to give Wolf Camera a fair shake. I was looking for a Nikon wide angle lens and a decent tripod for my D70s and they had what I wanted in stock. Ordering was easy on their website and I had an email conformation of my order almost immediately. The only thing I didn't like was that when I received the message that my order was shipped, it did not provide a tracking number. The only way you could track was by logging on their website and seeing only the tracking messages taken off the FedEx website. I did receive my order as promised though and all is well. I am willing to order from them again and hope the good service will continue."

"Well here we go. Today I was reading a thread on a photog forum and found a guy who realized the new lens he got from Wolfs wasn't in fact all that new. They had shipped him a used lens....no caps and it was scratched. So I started to wonder about the camera I bought there in the middle of January.

I did a search on my computer and found the first images I had off the camera and guess what! The first file number I had was IMG_1845.jpg....obviously this wasn't a new camera I had gotten. You could say that I was ignorant for not realizing this sooner, but being a trusting person I never would have thought someone would have sent me a used camera instead of the $2000USD camera I had ordered.

Tonight I contacted wolfs through their online support. I got to talk to someone who basically told me to sit on it an rotate. He played dumb and apologized, but they claimed they had done nothing wrong and that my return time was up. I kept pushing him, but magically he started to forget what the problem was and asked me again what I wanted!!!!!

Basically stay away from these guys. I'm going to contact Canon directly then see about legal action"

"Bought a Nikon D70 from Wolf. Web site said the camera was backordered and told 15 days to receive. Received the usual "Please call to confirm your order" e-mail. Called and all went well. Salesman started to talk about the need for compact flash cards, but didn't push when I told him I already had several Microdrives. Ten days after putting in the order, received an e-mail saying the package had shipped and received it 3 day later.

The process could not have been better. "

"I am happy to be the first to rate this store. However, since I couldn't get through the checkout process, I don't have a lot of information.

I thought that ordering from a site that charged the higest prices would guarantee good service and prompt delivery.

I got to the point of entering my credit card information and then received a page that the information was incorrect and to check the cc number and zipcode. Which I did and they were entered correctly. I tried three credit cards with the same result.

I ended up finding another store with an excellent rating here that turned out to be cheaper."
