"I purchased a TV at Walmart online and had it delivered to my local store. When I went to pick it up I waited TWO hours because they did not have things organized. People in line were screaming and cursing. They brought out my TV and the box was ripped in half and the TV was damaged. I tell the guy 'what's this' and he tells me thats the way it was delivered. I could not take it anymore and went home without my TV. I called the store to speak to the manager and was told he was busy but would get back to me. A week later and no call back but I get an email from walmart online asking me how my experience was. I respond to the email and they in turn ask me to call them so they can 'help' me. I call and they offer $10 towards my next purchase. I tell the thanks for nothing I'll buy me TV at Costco and reply to the email that told me to call so they can 'help' me saying that they were no help. I get another response saying that they offered me $10 gift card and 10% off my next purchase not just the $10 and all I needed to do was place the order and they would apply my discount and give me the card. I place another order (like a fool) and they credited my account $10 NOT 10%!!! They robbed me!!!"
"Site to Store shipping is a WASTE OF TIME. I had my christmas items sent to the store to avoid paying for shipping...went to the store on a Sunday, the line was down the aisle. Didn't wait..came back the very next day at 930am on Monday. I waited for TWO HOURS....Ridiculous!!! I'll pay shipping next time. The process was horrible. They have the Site-to-Store with the layaway department...NO ONE WAS Happy. On top of that...they had all of our merchandise in trailors outside the building and the employees had to go back and find our stuff in the different trailors. Horrible system. They should think about copying Sears system, very efficient."
"Bad business model with some bad results but worked out OK overall.
In order to get free shipping on some shoes I had to hit $50 (I think) so I ordered a bunch of cleaning supplies. I must have cost them a fortune to ship all those liquids, they came in 2 boxes and my shoes aren't even here yet. Plus supid incentives lead to stupid results...the laundry detergeant leaked all over the rest of the stuff.
It was a mess to clean up but cust svc was nice, helpful and US-based by the southern accent. No, not Tamil :-) They refunded me for the detergent and the box of bags that was soaked which was very fair, but it's worth using some sense about what you order. Not everything that CAN be shipped SHOULD be shipped :-)
Overall it might actually be a good way to get groceries cheaply and convienently tho I can't imagine why they'd continue doing it. "
"TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMERS SERVICE. Oh did I mention terrible. I got a hold of dreyin New Mexico after 15 minutes on hold (with no sound), then he transfered me to Carlos who could not wait two minutes for me to come back on line so he hung up phone.
Will never ever purchase anything online from them again."
"Of course Walmart.com does not actively participate in ResellerRatings to monitor feedback - THEY DON'T CARE.
I preordered SWTOR collectors edition in early october, they sent my preorder code just fine, and everything was dandy. I emailed three times asking if quantity was going to be an issue, to which they flat out ignored. However, since I got my code via mail I figured all was ok. Nope!
I then got an email early December (thats two freaking months later) stating to 'ignore my account page showing the item is cancelled'
then paypal emailed me stating that I was going to get a refund.
then i emailed them asking what was going on. They didn't ignore me this time, and told me to ignore it, i was getting my item.
then the refund actually processed
and again they told me via email that my order was not cancelled - but when I called them, sure enough, the phone rep confirmed.
lies, dishonesty, and the fact that I could have purchased this limited edition item from a different retailer - but due to their lies and greed (trying to sell more than they think they are going to get or have in stock) I end up getting screwed. Needless to say my son will be disappointed christmas time - thanks walmart.com! for making my christmas totally stressful and disappointing.
First time customer (well, almost) - and defitely the LAST purchase I will ever make there. Money talks - I'm taking my money elsewhere, and would advise any of you reading this review to do the same, and save yourself the amount of time/effort/trouble that I have gone through."
"Disappointing experience to say the least. Received an email from Walmart.com on an item at a great price and decided to buy (a Motorola Xoom). I then logged onto their website to find that they did not sell the item online (what?) and that I needed to pick it up in-store. I checked the availability of the xoom within 25 miles and was told that three (3) stores had them in stock. I called each store to find out that they did not have them at all.
What a waste of time! Why advertise a great deal on an item without actually having the item? I wasted hours on this "project" (a grad gift for the wife) to end up empty.
"Just tried the order online - with free shipping "home free" on most items. Everything arrived really quickly in perfect condition plus a free bag of goodies (toiletries for him and her) I was amazed. Good job Walmart."
"Purchased a starbucks gift card from walmart.com and it arrived unactivated with no balance. Have contacted walmart multiple times but all they say is they will escalate it further but I have never heard back. Calling about the issue again and they give the same bull crap excuse how they will escalate it but I have not heard back. I used a prepaid card to purchase it so I cannot dispute it with my credit card. I am very disappointed as this was a gift and how embarrassing it was to realize it was never activated. "
