"The verizon store on 73rd and Third in Manhattan sold me a mifi hotspot and then told me they did not have any in stock. I went back the next day. Given my experience with the mifi not in stock, I called ahead and asked for an extra home charger and to make sure it was there. They said it was there. Of course, when I went back, they didn't have it. So I went back a third time. This time, a horribly nasty woman named Jennifer said that since they only had to put it on my account, I would be out of there in 5 minutes. 30 minutes and 7 customers later, I complained. She told me not to complain and made me wait another ten minutes. Customer service at Verizon??? Forget it. The nasty Jennifer is not even from New York. There are plenty of intelligent, decent New Yorkers out of work. But I guess Verizon has to get the real nasty ones from other places."
"Verizon Wireless has unspeakably poor customer service. Their agents are condescending and blatantly rude. I canceled my contract with them for this reason after being a loyal customer for four years. After receiving a letter stating that the account was paid in full and no longer in service, I began receiving more bills from the, the latest of which have been collection notices and settlement agreements. I have contacted customer service several times, sometimes wasting hours of my day, and explained the situation only to have them claim that they have no record of my disconnecting service. So... they continued my service without my knowledge after sending me a statement that my account was closed and paid in full and are refusing to fix their error or lower the settlement offer. Oh, also...they still owe me one hundred and fifty dollars I paid to set up the account in the first place! It was supposed to be returned with interest after a year of service... I never missed a payment! "
"I ordered from VZW based on their claim of excellent service in my area. They initially shipped me a broken phone. I immediately asked for a brand new phone as I was entitled. They shipped a refurb. That didn't even matter in the end since I had no service in or around my home despite their maximum service claim. I spent weeks trying voodoo remedies and traveling to the VZW store. I finally had to cancel during the trial period. I was sent a bill for almost $500 with no details why(a $55 plan to begin with). On my first call they claimed that bill was incorrect because it was sent before I canceled. That's a lie because it clearly contained an ETF. I waited for another bill then called to address each concern. The CSR agreed for all my troubles I should not owe anything. He removed all charges (zero balance). Then I receive a phone call threatening my credit from verizon collections. I call to address and get all the way up to the supervisor who was arrogant and rude and informed me none of the charges were removed because the paperwork was done wrong by the CSR. That's my fault? So after an hour on the phone she refused to remove anything but the ETF fee. I was left with $120 for a month of $55 service I did not receive and a $36 activation fee that was supposed to be waived as part of one of their offers for a new line of service. She was very rude about honoring the activation waiver. I insisted the VP call me and they said I would receive a call in three days. I never received a call and I have yet to receive a bill explaining the remaining $40 gap in what they're trying to charge. Avoid them at all costs."

"I have had cell phones for personal and business with over 8 different companies within the past ten years so here are a few tips. 1. Do not get your service from an authorized dealer (store in the mall or kiosk you can find corperate stores on Verizons wesite) third party dealers have there own dictation and can charge you sepperate fee's for anything they would like. 2. Verizon has the best service bar none and customer service is up there with the best of them. 3. Bad equiptment is not the fault of any cell phone service provider, phones are all made by seperate manufacturers so do not blame your service provider when there is a problem with the equiptment. 4.Always read the tearms and conditions don't agree to any service with out reading them this keep yourself and the company on the same page as far as you' service contract. 5. Lastly, cell phone company's have very strict procedure for every minute detail of there service so if you have an issue with a policy or service you are recieving feel free to take the surveys offered (most cell carriers)and give your feed back because they have people who's soul job is to review and report on your surveys. Overall Verizon has been top notch I recomend there service to anyone who follows the motto "you get what you pay for"."

"I ordered the Droid X at 2:00 a.m. on the 15th they announced that if you placed an order on-line after 2:30 p.m. that day you would not get your phone until the the 23rd of July. I was golden right I was told because I ordered at 2:00 a.m. my phone would be on the Fed X truck that day and when that day passed and I seen it wasn't shipped I called the next morning and was told it was ready for delivery. After I seen the status late in the afternoon and seen it wasn't shipped and said waiting for inventory I called and they told me "it took their automated system until 6:00 p.m. on the 15th to process my payment: which brought me past the 2:30 cut off even though I ordered it at 2:00 a.m. well before 2:30 p.m. I have to wait until the 23rd, can you believe it? I hate Verizon Wireless it is always lies with them."

"I purchased a Droid and accessories $405.45 rebate $100 which we never recieved yet today. The store was pretty busy and the salesman George seemed pretty nice. However it seemed that the manager Tyler acted as tho we looked like we couldnt afford the phone we are business professionals my husband and I. We were asked by George to come back again tomorrow to go over the phone and features He set up the case he had difficulties w the frame as it was a" tight fit and said he put the scratch protector on the phone."He actually scratched the chrome but I didn't want to be one of those customers and lived with it. We arrived the next morning and went over the details .I was an inconvienence going there 2 days in a row with two little kids, but I was pleased with the phone for the most part. Some minor gliches to be expeted with these technologies. The very next day it made national news that they were to have buy one get one free which I questioned George if they were going to phase out or other rewards since the year was ending he denied.I have been a Verizon customer for 10 years+ Today I huh cleaned my phone and wiped it upon my breast and coat and the button on my coat hit the phone and cracked the screen as a web. I called the store and got the run around as I was on hold I thought hey lets look at the screen protector maybe that was cracked I found out that he never put the protector on! I was furious! I drove to the store and brought my bag with all the accessories and found the protectors which were never opened and still the protective sheet attatched. Would this still have occured if the protective sheet were there? a question I think about. Forensics would imply that a scratch or defect could result into a crack can increase w pressure or nick. Looking at the screen the edges actually look as the case was snug to begin with it could have been fractured prior and my button tipped it off as it was an awkward fit to begin with. I wasn't asking for a free phone but since George failed and neglected to complete the task at hand in the first place he wouldn't have been distracted to getting sales and having me come back the very next morning. They offered me to buy a refurbed phone for $300. Why would I do that again pay that cost as I did in the first place. Poor unprofessional staff customer service. I liked that phone and first liked George now not sure. I would be better off canceling service and exploring other avenues and having family and friends end contract as well. Beware it is a scam check and watch them as they apply so called accessories. Checking out with this provider:("
"Ordered some Plantronics bluetooth headsets from Verizon Wireless because there was a good deal on them. Free overnight shipping was included, and received the headsets the next day. The packaging was good, and the free shipping was excellent. So far, the experience has been positive and I look forward in making future purchases @ Verizon Wireless. "
