"Purchased a D200 camera and was never told it was a "grey market" camera. Nikon won't discuss problems with the camera due to this. When the store was contacted they would not discuss our return of the camera - simply hung up."
"I placed an order for a Panasonic HVX200 camera on Friday. Monday I got the e-mail telling me I had to call. I called and spoke to Thomas who told me that the camera I ordered was the Chinese version with Chinese menus, etc. and that it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery. He said that it didn't come with a battery, cables, or LCD screen. I told him the LCD was part of the body of the camera and he said, "Not for the Chinese version." He told me the best deal was to pay them $2900 for the "US version" which came with all the accessories and the LCD screen. Thomas was not rude and he did not yell, but it was obvious from the conversation that I wasn't going to get an HVX200 for the really low price listed on their website. You will only waste your time if you think that deal that's too good to be true has any chance of being real, at least from USAPhotoNation."
" Yes, I agree. This place is a fraud. They will lie to you. I called them before I placed an order on a Canon SD1000 to see if it came with all the cables, battery, and charger etc. They said it did. So I placed an order on-line and got an email like a lot of people saying I needed to contact them about it. I called them today and they said it did not come with those items and I had to purchase them seperately ! I immediately cancelled my order and they didnt seem to care. Its fraudulent at its best. I would never recommend dealing with this company again. Hopefully they wont be in business much longer."
"I ordered a Canon Powershot S3I3 a couple of days ago. Today I received an e-mail stating that I had to call them to complete my order. When I called they tried to sell me a memory card, batteries and a case(which the WEB site said would come with it for free). When I declined to all of those items. They told me that the camera only comes with a 90 day waranty. I was puzzled and was then advised the model was from China!!!!!! I was then offered the USA model for a price higher than I could get it for in the stores. Needless to say I cancelled the order. This place is a scam."
"This place is a joke, they sent me an e-mail asking for confirmation of my credit card, which I did. Then they tried to upsell me on a US instead of international edition, and batteries, memory card, etc. Told me the item was on back order, and then after I told them to go ahead with the order, cancelled it. Stay far away and be very afraid to do business with this site."
"I had made my purchase online for a Nikon D80, Package #3. This package includes a lens, memory card and various other items. The next day I had received an email notifying me that they have been trying to get ahold of me about my order(they have my phone number and I received no call).
The email requested that I contact a Greg at extension 213. Upone calling, Greg specified exactly what I was ordering and then tried to sell me on an additional battery and charger package for $300, since the camera did not come with one. I ensured to him that I only wanted what was on the original order and that I do not wish to purchase the battery package.
He then informs me that item is in back order and will take 6-10 weeks to be delivered. I commented to him that I had paid for the faster delivery and would like to have that reduced to better reflect the additional wait. He tells me that he cannot do that because it was not what I had opted for when I made my purchase online. I told him that I opted and paid to receive my package within 3-5 days. He again reiterates that the package is on back order and that I opted to pay the additional amount for delivery.
Frustrated, I told him "So if I had paid for next day shipping; I would be doing no better than the guy who opted for the standard rate." Again he tells me he cannot change it. I did some research after that incident and found this site and others describing the same scenario of problems.
The following day I had made a call to my credit card company in preparation of having to contest charges. Before contacting, USA Photo Nation, I had received an email that said my order had been cancelled. I still made my call to ensure that the order had been cancelled and was told on the phone that it was.
I can only suspect that my order was cancelled because of my unwillingness to purchase the additional battery package, which I also thought was a little overpriced. The website that I had made purchase from still said that the item was available, over the entire three dayS since I had made my order. The price of the camera had changed multiple times over this period and they still didn't make notice that it was on back order/ not available.
I hope everyone finds this site and others that display the questionable business practice of this company, before considering making a purchase.
I will be paying very close attention to my credit card statements and might even file complaint with the state attorney general. "
"These guys are complete shysters! I tried to buy a Canon Rebel XTi based on their very low price advertised on the net. Their website stated then that the item was in stock (and still does). I called them up and asked what the package included, since I was puzzled the price was so low ($449). They eventually admitted that it was without battery, charger or memory card. OK, so I did a little research and saw that I could buy these items elsewhere for a fraction of what they charged, and I ordered the camera anyway. I told them I needed it quickly, they confirmed it was in stock, and they recommended expidited shipping.
The following day I got an email to "contact them about my order". They asked if I needed the battery, charger, etc. and I said no, I already had them (I ordered them elsewhere). At that point they said the camera was out of stock, and that they should have it out to me in 2-3 weeks. Nearly a month later, no camera. I called again, only to be told that the camera was backordered, and it would be another 4-6 weeks.
After finding reviews on this site (and others) describing this disreputable practice I understand that they likely won't ever send the camera, and if they do it will be a grey market item without valid warranty. So I cancelled the order.
"This company is unethical, dishonest, and (as if it could get worse) staffed by very rude people. They list "deals" to get you to place an order then go for the upsell. In short (and I don't use this term lightly) they're lying cheats."
"worst experience in my internet orders thank god I canceled it. Please never respond any calls from them.. What kind of Internet company call you to buy more.. ...And Please read good review from 2-3 websites. not 1. I think they owned there own review site. That's where I got treaked"

"I was contacted by USA photonation and told the battery only lasts 15 minutes did I want an upgraded battery.Canon only makes one battery for this camera. They told me the price on the internet was for a Gray market camera which did not have a battery or charger with it but for an extra $70 they would sell me the US version. Told me there were two Canon companies a us company and a European company and they packaged the sd700is differently. They will not sell you the camera for the price they offer on the internet. Definetly a bait and switch program. Would not do business with this company. "
"Beware of this seller! I ordered One (01) Nikon d40 from this store and by the time I clicked submit to buy the it I was told I had just bought 2 cameras ans will be charged $69 for shipping. I tried calling the store the right away to correct my order but nothing do...I emailed them twice but never recieved a response I called again after the weekend and after verifying my ceridt card number he seller tried to sell me several other items I had no use for..and then he mentioned the battery..I told him I thought It came with the camera..He replied nothing came with it..not even the manual or the camera software or the battery charger..I told him that's weird cause nikon is including all those accessories with the camera...I started to get pretty annoyed with him because he would just brush my questions away and just kept trying to seel me memory cards, lens filters..after a minute or so I told him you know what.."cancel the order"..so he said he would do it and hung up...I will never fall in the same trap again..they advertise one thing and try to sell you something else at prices you never bargained for."
"Beware bait and switch. I ordered a canon xt from this company. Was told I had to call to confirm when I did they said it was only Chinese version camera. I ask them how much for American version they quoted me twice the price. Nowhere on the web site did it say this.. They cancelled order. Bad dealer Don't buy from these sharks. "
"awful! first, agreed to price and confirmed in stock; then, stated not in stock. then stated price was $50 too low. then stated I would receive by Christmas. a week later, then stated I would only receive by Christmas if I paid expedited postage ($5 more than their web posted cost). then did NOT receive. cancelled order after Christmas. then received charge to credit card, and refusal to help/hang-up by sales."
